They are not. China has 4 US reactors (AP1000) in operation. Those reactors started construction in 2009 and became operational in 2018. So they may have been importing parts for maintenance on those.
All new reactors under construction in China are domestic models except for a couple of Russian ones. Hualong one is not the only Chinese design. There are several domestic models in operation and under construction. China even has a domestic version of the AP1000 with full IP rights. Its CAP1000 and China have built many CAP1000s domestically.
