After Trump's current racist outburst against the entire Latin America, I think that the world will finally turn to the West versus the Rest literally this time around as this was objectively the last Global South continent still generally pro-US. This is not just a metaphor anymore but the fact.
In perception polls, China already has an old edge in Africa and recently in , also here, not to mention Muslim/Arab countries from MENA due to Gaza obviously - so, probably the entire Asia by now. And this is without trillions in influence campaigns wasted like the US did.
Trump is like a blessing that keeps on giving and this is only the beginning of his presidency. Even within Europe many are now only supporting the US under coercion and not sincere like before due to his policies and would jump ships when the first fire against China starts. Empire's end.

Well, it is not like they can offer any factories or infrastructure or tech to get influence, so these donations were among the last avenues of positive influence they had left in developing countries (outside of brute shameless interference).
Or maybe Trump saw that these countries don't truly like them one bit now, and are closer to China/Russia anyways, so he simply decided to give up and from now on will instead try to use coercion on select targets when he wants something.
