Not just the Pentagon, every federal loan and aid disbursement is effectively paused indefinitely. Aid to Education, infrastructure, research, healthcare, disaster relief etc etc! All halted for at least a couple weeks!
They're crashing this thing with no survivors I can't believe what's happening.
TBH I objectively think what Trump is doing is best for the US. There is too much bloat in the federal bureaucracy. There is no slow reform, at this point the US needs shock therapy. If successful Trump revives America, if not he'll just accelerate the decline.
American farmers are extremely dependent on subsidies for crops like corn, so this will basically nuke Iowa and surrounding states. I said during the election thread that this administration would basically destroy the US, and I think I’ve been correct.

He’s going to speed up the decline because individual historical figures often have little control over the broader forces and cycles shaping history. For example, after de-industrialization, their GDP now leans heavily on bloated government spending and jobs, which ripple through the economy. All those nonsense jobs that Trump is cutting exist somehow for a reason. This is also why DOGE is complete nonsense - it’s the same principle. They rely on debt to keep the economy and GDP afloat, driving spending and economic activity. If they cut spending to try and pay off debt, their revenues would shrink, sending them back to square one - only now with even more tension. It's the Gordian Knot. At this stage there is literally nothing that can save them from collapse by 2030 (barring something supernatural), everyone can bookmark this post and see.

High 30's to mid 40's % of US GDP is from government spending, the figure is low 30's for China. The US is in some sense way more socialist than China already. The limbs must be cut now, only after a few weeks will the US see which limbs were actually essential and which were just fake sponges.
