How did Columbia back down exactly? I literally mentioned this in my last post. From beginning to end, it was reasonable for them to accept back their own illegal immigrants. It is just that they don't want them shackled like animals and forcefully thrown out by the US planes. So, they proposed now to do it on their own terms. They already turned away the US planes, and by the looks of things, they are not inviting them back.

Inside these planes are probably 300 illegal immigrants being deported against their will, and maybe 30 soldiers who are armed only with non-lethal weapons. Not keeping them in shackles during the flight would've been a terrible idea. Especially if illegal immigrants with criminal records had been prioritized for deportation.
Who knows what else was going on as Brazil was quite mad about the whole thing it seems (vibe).
I think that Trump just wanted to provoke everyone to create a circus show for his dumb supporters.
