Lol, who does he think he is? If Biden couldn't convince them, why would they listen to him now instead? He really has some God Complex.

How do you think the US brokered peace between Israel and Egypt decades ago? :)

Trump is more prepared and willing to blackmail, bribe and barter his way to a monumental deal, that he likely believes will anchor his presidential legacy, than any and all of his predecessors.

Won't even be surprised if he asks China, on top of the Europeans and Japan, to help fund loans to Egypt or Jordan in exchange for concessions elsewhere.

Donald Trump says he wants Jordan, Egypt, and other Arab nations to accept more Palestinian refugees from Gaza

'I’d like Egypt to take people. You’re talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing and say, you know, it’s over.' He said.

He also told the Jordanian king, 'I’d love for you to take on more. The Gaza Strip is a real mess.'

Trump noted that resettling could be either temporary or long-term: 'Something has to happen. It's literally a demolition site, almost everything is destroyed, and people are dying. I’d prefer to work with Arab nations to build housing elsewhere, so they can live in peace.'

Apparently, Columbia gave him the middle finger.

Imagine this happening even 5 years ago, haha...

Btw, it was not even like it was too much to ask for, haha.

I've never even understood how the deportation system was supposed to work. You just throw people on planes and fly them to countries which they are supposedly from? What if you get denied landing?

I think this is going to blow up massively in the weeks to come as the process of deporting these people becomes increasingly unworkable.

Also, as you mentioned the Columbian request was very simple, yet Trump responded in a totally disproportionate manner.

The first logical problem I see is here that it's okay to sanction Columbia only and "show it to them", and bully them like this, but can you sanction every single Latin American country as well next (where there are illegal immigrants from), that could also potentially deny you? Or let's go even further, since the US power globally quite deteriorated in relative and absolute terms recently, can you now sanction 100+ countries that probably won't respect your imperial unreasonable orders anymore to a certain extent like they did before? That would hurt and isolate the US way more. Or better said the US consumer who now has even more inflation to worry about on top of all other inflationary pressures.

This is exactly what I see happening. Trump and co. are delusional and have no understanding of international relations, economics or politics. As you mentioned, Columbia is an easy target and maybe even an attempt to test the waters.

I think the plan will backfire massively, especially if all of Latin America can stand unified against the deportations.

Outside of that, you have whatever cowboy shit is being planned on the border with Mexico. We're likely going to see special forces raids, drone strikes or even troop deployments into Mexico to fight the cartels.

From beginning to end, it was reasonable for them to accept back their own illegal immigrants. It is just that they don't want them shackled like animals and forcefully thrown out by the US planes arriving inside their own airspace like thugs.

So, they proposed now to do it on their own terms - with their own planes. However, Trump and primal Trumptards will now probably present this as some kind of "domination" over Columbia and that they "submitted" to them, which is not the case.

We'll see what will happen. Columbia took the first step and I don't think that they will change this bottom line. Trump can now either accept this outcome and present it as some kind of "victory" or still be unreasonable and face many of those LA countries jointly rejecting him next. Then he can either sanction them all too, which would be the most stupid, or stop finally then at that point.

Off to a rough start definitely, Trump doesn't realize how much he needs allies, and to save focus when the empire is crumbling like this. Latin America will certainly remember these acts and be the first ones to get their payback after the US starts collapsing fully in future.
