1952, Korean war, lots of casualties, but american quickly forget about it and got drag into Vietnam war, which lasted for a long while and with massive casaulties and again after the war ends, americans forget. Then came 1st Gulf War and then Afganistan and 2nd Gulf War..... Did American public remember? of course not. Did they support it? HELL YES. They love getting maimed and killed! There is no other explanation because they just keep voting in parties that gets them into wars for no good reason.

You obviously are stuck in the hole of no return. You need a 9/11 type of incident in order to get even 50% of the American people to support a war or conflict that they know could handle without the mess of Vietnam and Korea(as in high casualties). Because the main drive for that support is through hate of Muslims and blaming of Muslims for 9/11 (although many wouldn't admit it in public). Even the most hawkish Americans are not going to want to go to war with China for whatever reason.

well, big % of soybean imported is for pig/animal feed and it is easily can be substitute

Eat less meat is not a big deal ... remember China produce big soybean already, way higher than Japan. And China will produce more when the price higher also other countries would do the same


At the end of the day ... equilibrium would be achieved and the losers would be US farmers

This is the definition of irony!

The pro-Trump side has been claiming China is "blinking" on the trade war since it started last week. Blinking is when Trump is already running to the WTO, the organization he's threatening to abandon, for help. Look at what the world is like with no WTO to scramble to. He would have continue on his road to American destruction because he doesn't want to admit to being wrong. He listens to idiots like Peter Navarro who told Trump no one would dare retaliate against the US with tariffs of their own.



More American fake news. If China doesn't mention a trade war is happening to the Chinese people how is there an article like this?



Is this the same propaganda where they tell Americans everyone in the world in their true nature loves Americans first and if the Chinese people knew the truth a trade war was happening against their most favorite country in the world, the Chinese people would rise up against their government? It reminds me when a journalist for the Atlantic Journal Constitution wrote that Beijing was hiding from the Chinese people that the US voted for a black man, Obama, as President of the United States.
