Quin, commanding officer of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), launches an AV-8B Harrier from the "Greyhawks" of Marine Medium-lift Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161 (Reinforced). Essex is the flagship of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU), is currently operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility. Steve Johnson, the ship's maintenance officer, serves food to the crew as part of a food service attendant (FSA) relief event where officers served food in place of the FSA personnel in the galley aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3).
