Popeye, I see forty aircraft on deck here on the TR.

The Lassen was never too far away from a lot of help when she went deep into the SCS for her mission.

Leassen-TR-2.jpg

Thankfully, it was not needed, and according to all accounts, the PLAN vessels that were there behaved completely professionally.

No mention of the "TR" strike group in the US news media being in close proximity to the disputed territory as Lassen transited the area ..But if PLAN ships had passed near Alaska again that would be all over the news.

I would love to see a PLAN task force near US coast, it would be good for both nations to have these kind of exchanges, professional and standard procedures in place which I know both are working on in terms of communications and signals

A DDG, LPD and a tanker from PLAN

Media blow them so out of proportion it makes the average person nervous

No need good for both navy's and a naval exchange between both would be great

Liaoning sailing with Nimitz? Why not

We can hope

OUSTANDING video of the USS Ronald Reagan operating with the JS Izumo off of Japan.

This is about a nice of eye candy as you can get as good as it gets for modern, joint aircraft carrier operations:
