The War in the Ukraine

Modern day bombing and WW2 bombing aren't really directly comparable in terms of weight of explosives due to the much greater accuracy nowadays. Modern machinery is also much more precise, and delicate.

The fact that we can even entertain the thought of bombing Moscow itself shows how much the Russia's 'red lines' have been pushed in by Ukraine. In 2023, noone would have considered Ukraine bombing Moscow to be a possibility, we would have assumed it would result in vindictive reprisals. Now we know, Moscow is open season, and anywhere in Russia is now a valid target.
Trouble is, Putin has nothing more to escalate except for nuclear weapons. General mobilisation is politically unacceptable because of nature of war (Russia itself isn't invaded first) and anyway, I doubt they have enough equipment to equip any sizable number of reservists with anything remotely modern and functional.

Ukrainian SAM miss and falls on a residential area. There's back and forth accusations that the PAC-3s are expired missiles.

Russians hit another weapons depot in Kyiv, ending in a big explosion with secondary detonations. A rocket flies off and lands in a residential neighborhood.

Seems like it's the Samsung-Ukraine plant allegedly producing Flamingo FP-5 missile -drones.

The Russian army launched a second Iskander missile strike on Kyiv on the night of July 8. The strike hit the Ukrainian company Samsung-Ukraine, which produced and stored components for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles. A drone assembly plant, a motor depot on the territory of Kyivmetrobud, and warehouses used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kyiv's Desnyansky district were also hit.

Netherlands no longer has the ability to provide military support according to Dutch Defense Minister.

"And money is not endless

The Netherlands no longer has the ability to provide military support to Ukraine, said Dutch Defense Minister Dylan Jeshilgoz-Segerius. History will not end with the indignation of the Germans and Poles.

⁇ ️«We Netherlands no longer have opportunities because we've already done so much», — she said.

⁇ ️ The Netherlands spent 9.1 billion euros ($10.4 billion) to support Ukraine

⁇ ️ Answering a question about new requests for the supply of Patriot missiles, the minister said: «We are at the limit»."

Bulgaria has reached it's aid limit. Will still provide repairs for broken equipment.

Barely mentioned strikes. Just an entry on a long list. Always curious about X-59 and X-69 strikes, as they involve Su-30/34/35/57, and are high precision strikes using air to ground missiles. Of note in particular are strikes involving the X-69 missile. I am guessing that these strikes might be targeting AD units.

July 7
"• 08:29 Dnepropetrovsk – explosions. X-59/X-69."

July 8

"00: 04 Neighborhoods of Odessa – explosions. X-31/X-59."

"• 01:40-01:45 Kharkov – explosions. Tornado-S."

Tornado-S pops up once in a while but I wonder if they are using ground launched UMPB.

There is still much to explore; Russia still has various escalation options to use against Ukraine and NATO.

Publishing every Russian shell being fired on Ukraine is following the conflict?
Yes. That's the definition. What do you think, publishing 50 angles of the same shot that Ukraine managed to slip through is following the conflict?
Or fanboyism maybe?
You worshipping a single Ukrainian shot to the 50 that Russia returned? Yes, that's fanboyism.
How old are you son?
Old enough to be wiser than you, young enough to have more energy than you, little boy.
And about revolution in Russia, don't know, maybe because they allready had a few of them, say February and October, fall of USSR etc.?
They don't happen to oppose war; war is a unifying force. Countries start wars to distract from internal problems. The most recent event that resembles a revolution that we've seen is the capital building in DC being stormed.
And because Putin is obviously afraid to proclaim general mobilisation (on the other hand, he probably has no enough equipment to arm them anyway) especially in ethnic Russian parts of RF and big cities?
By that logic, all of NATO is obviously afraid to fight with Russia so they keep sending more Ukrainians into the meat grinder.
And because existential wars aren't being fought by professional military and foreign mercenaries from Cuba to N. Korea (but wars of choice/colonial conflicts are) but by mobilised reservists...
They are fought by mercenaries everywhere and the prison population. Difference is, Ukraine, grinding down its best while Russia still has plenty on reserve.
Trouble is, Putin has nothing more to escalate except for nuclear weapons.
Very false, see, this is why you shouldn't talk about other people's age when you make statements that are so green yourself.
General mobilisation is politically unacceptable because of nature of war (Russia itself isn't invaded first) and anyway,
Nah, that's what a European wishes. To Russians, the Russosphere was infected and infiltrated and Russia is fighting defensively against the spread of NATO.
I doubt they have enough equipment to equip any sizable number of reservists with anything remotely modern and functional.
This is a very funny doubt given most of what Russia has is on reserve and they can order from North Korea/China anything else they need. Wishfully projecting the weakness of European production lines unto others, I see.

Ukraine strategy working.
Russia bans all diesel exports after drone strikes, and it will even start importing instead
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
Russia imposed a full ban on diesel fuel exports Wednesday to “increase supplies to the domestic market,” according to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

Speaking at a government meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Novak said Moscow will begin importing petroleum products in July to stabilize the country's fuel market.

"We will also begin importing petroleum products in July and increase production volumes by sourcing petroleum products of a lower environmental class," said Novak.

He said the country's fuel market had partially stabilized but remained “challenging.”

"As a result of ongoing terrorist attacks on civilian infrastructure, including fuel and energy facilities, a number of oil refineries were damaged. Consequently, gasoline and diesel production was temporarily and partially reduced," he said.
