The T-72B has far more protection than 220mm at LOS. Early models T-72B have around 450-550 mm along glacis and turret front
Isn't 220mm at 66.42° around 500mm in physical thickness? Thus export Chinese 105mm have even a chance of penetrating base T-72B at 2000m

220mm at 66.42° means what it means, that the effective penetration against a plate of RHA-equivalent steel at a 66.42° slope angle is going to be 220mm. Less angle means the effective thickness is less, not more.

The slope of a T-72's glacis is 68°. For reference, this is the thickness of the glacis of the T-72 and its variants; by the late 80's its get thinner but the composite material has changed, improving performance despite being physically "thinner"

Why don't they deploy Shilkas or Gepard against those Gerans? It should be technically effective against it

Lack of ammo to spare I presume especially with the two systems having incompatible ammo. Or not enough units to spare, since they either have to be in the front to defend against Lancets, Kubs, and Orlan 10s, or stay in the back to defend against Gerans. They cannot go in and out between the two, given the limited fuel supplies.

They did. Outside of the city limits. If they deploy inside within the Urban area... you can bet some buildings will take 23mm or 35mm stray shots. and they cannot blame Russia this time.

It also creates "Urban Canyon" situation where their radar become pretty much useless due to heavy clutter, thus forcing them to rely on optics, this reduces situational awareness.

Anyway, with the numbers they have, they are not able to protect Kiev even if they use them all...

A Buk-M1 and two M777 get hit with Lancet drones

This doesn't look fun at all

New spans for the Kerch bridge on the way

Here is one thing people should remember.

Shrapnel shreds tires.

Civilian pickups and SUVs do not have standardized size tires. Anyone knows that. There is a reason why military vehicles standardized their parts especially their tires.

Using different military vehicles donated by different nations presents the same problem, no standardization on tires, parts, etc,. Cannibalization is often used to keep as many units of the same kind operating at the expense of one. This is difficult to do when you have a mixed vehicular soup.

You got to be desperate if you are using civilian vehicles in your offensive, as civilian vehicles are easily shredded by shrapnel and offer no protection for the occupants at all. This points to you don't have enough military vehicles that are in operational condition; you have extreme attrition on your military vehicles from all causes; or you don't have enough fuel for your military vehicles, or all causes above.
