The thing is Ukraine aint running out of equipment it's pretty much an open faucet of western weapons pouring in.
I guess the Ukrainians using technicals for attack was due to these pickup trucks being so much superior to the tanks they would have used instead.

The Ukrainians firing one round of cannon shell for every ten Russian ones was because they were just nice people and did not want to upset the Russians too much.

Many Ukrainian soldiers traveling on foot around the one tank was due to them wanting exercise more.

The energy situation in Ukraine is becoming pretty critical by the day.
My guess is that one of the the Russians objective is to force the Ukrainians air defense systems to focus in defending the infrastructure of the country so they can freely use their air forces in the battlefield in the East. Pretty smart tactic but is going to have a heavy toll in the population of Ukraine.
It is clear that Ukraine is being absolutely devastated by the attacks on its infrastructure.

Temperature today in Kiev: low of 34F/1C. Wind: 25 mph/40 KPH.

US has just barely begun to supply Ukraine and Ukraine with what they have is keeping Russia on the run. Imagine if the US/Biden from the beginning decided to supply Ukraine with M1's, Bradley's and AAV's that are all in storage... US is teasing the Russians taking the gloves off slowly a finger at a time.

Is there something wrong with using Osa/Stinger SAMs to intercept Shaheeds?
Is the IR signature not strong enough?
Would Crotale fare better with command guidance?

What I heard from the Russian Telegram blogs is that Stingers have problems with Shaheds but Osas are able to intercept them. However, the supply of Osas are finite and cannot be replenished.

The drone has both a low IR and radar signature, and its slow speed makes Doppler an issue.

Now that the Ukrainians got the Russians on the run, isn't it high time that the U.S. send in some tanks to finish the job?

Why fix what is not broken yet? It would take a lot of training, we're talking months, and they are not going to use fresh face recruits but those that are operating soviet era/Russian tanks and they are not going to be pulled from the front right now.

Because their tanks aren't rated for proper mobility on most Ukraine infrastructure and Ukraine has no way of keeping them maintained. Meaning their performance will possibly be even more shit than the t72as that get wiped by the dozen, and it looks horrible for propaganda if their own tanks are thrown into situations like that.

I mean sure US could send Bradley ifv but without air and artillery cover, what completely vaporizes a MRAP will also destroy a Bradley and kill the whole crew. They could maybe tank some 14.5mms unlike the M113 but how useful that is on strategical level when Ukraine is using mass tactics and getting resisted mainly by artillery and drones is doubtful.

It is increasingly becoming apparent that Ukraine is on overtime.

The Republicans have warned that they will strongly push back against further aid to Ukraine post the November elections which they are poised to win:
“I think people are going to be sitting in a recession and they’re not going to write a blank cheque to Ukraine,” McCarthy told Punchbowl News.

As for the tank itself, it is too heavy to cross most bridges in Ukraine. It is also a gas guzzler and requires impeccable logistics.

The M2 should provide a decent uptick in capability if supplied in sufficient numbers. The American's destroyed more armoured vehicles with them during 1990 the Gulf War than the M1 Abrams.
