The War in the Ukraine

this looks really bad for Russian internal security. They cannot ID someone driving a truck loaded with explosives onto supposedly the most critical and secured bridge in Russia? There's no checkpoints or scanners?
Thats just a bad attempt at face-saving from Russia. What else can they say? That Ukrainians blew it up and we with all our fancy tech were caught sleeping? Obviously admitting to that would be utter humiliation so rather make up some story about a truck and terrorists lol.

What is pretty clear is that NATO is too much for Russia to handle alone.

Yeah video seems to throw up more questions than answers. I'm not 100% convinced that's a truck explosion.

Looks like an ISIS job. Revenge for Syria?

Good timing to set off a fuel fire on the rail bridge: two birds with one stone.

Possible but not buying it. That is a heavily secured bridge and the dashcam of the car before the explosion you can hear like an incoming sound like the type you hear when a rocket or 155mm arty round is incoming.
That earlier video is fake as per multiple telegrams. Wrong day light, no train, etc. So forget that.

Anyway, I don't see how a Truck explosion can knock out the pillars and the entire bridge section. Unless there was HUGE quantity of explosives (1 tons +) and how that got on the bridge, that's up for guess. At this point I'm skeptical about the truck theory.

Anyway, humiliation for Putin. We will hear lots of calls for "sTrOnG rEsPonSE", nothing much will happen due to incapability, then you will hear 'convulated' justifications like 'trying not to damage civilian infrastructure' 'trigger panic amongst Russians to silence critics' etc.

They knew it the moment Nord Streams were destroyed, Russia did nothing to escalate and they hit Kerch bridge.

You don’t think Eastern Ukrainians will fight for their homes too? I think the fighting would become worse if only for the hope to hold off the inevitable reprisals

I think the eastern Ukrainians are far more divided than being portrayed. I think they are not we treated by their regimes either.

The ones *I* know (modest sample size to be sure) are pretty pissed at the Russians right now, regardless of what side they were on before.

minor oddity to me: the boom seems to go to one side more than the others. Directional explosion to get the train? Or an actual missile?
On the other angle shown from the post before, the "directional" stuff is shown pretty clearly to be the train starting to burn after it got hit.

Usually truck bombs shown in the middle east by terrorists would not do that much damage, but there are more sophisticated explosives that state actors can use.

Since the explosion begins dead center on that trailer... If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck... I'd assume its a duck unless proven otherwise.
