More "fake" footage. Russia has to withdraw from there
Some random pro-Russian twitter account wrote that it was friendly fire if I remember it well. Of course everyone here agreed with that because it's normal that Ukrainians release videos from TB2 showing how they shoot down their own helis. In the latter of the said video the buildings on Snake Island are still standing so it seems like it was filmed before Ukrainian aircraft destroyed everything there...How do people know that it is a friendly fire incident though?
Great 'source'. Please, don't post those videos here. If you'd like to watch them it's ok but those videos from amateurs are completely meaningless.Doesn't seem like things are getting any better for Ukraine right now. Not only did Russia end up capturing Popsnaya but also that the attack on Snake Island has been repeled despite claims for the west that that island has been taken by Ukraine from some outlets.
Could be just a tactical withdraw to prevent the unnecessary loss of men and equipment.Shockingly quick Russian collapse west of Izyum. The so called Donbas offensive they've been pinning their hopes on may be abandoned soon:
If it is true it will make it into the top ten list of wtf moment in this war....

Blue on blue moments especially from drone use shouldn't be that unusual. It has happened with US forces before.
S*** happens. Won't be surprised if the Russians did in their own too.
this kind of low dive attack happen when place is practically empty. not even a machine gun that can damage a fighter.More "fake" footage. Russia has to withdraw from there
Russia can form an AD/A2 bubble akin to an unsinkable carrier thing. It would deny Ukraine a large amount of airspace/air control if the island was properly secured by Russia.
In addition, given its location, the island would serve as a SOF base where Russia could spam attacks on Ukraine's coastline.
And, probably most importantly, if Ukraine holds the islands then it can strike a deal with NATO/US to "give" the island to NATO and thus having a stronghold in the Black Sea.
In all cases, its in Ukraine's interest that the island is not held by Russia
Dunno. Given the failed assault on the Island, I think that for now, Ukraine will be content with constant drone attacks on the island. Ultimately, if they manage to get the upper hand on air control above the island, Russia might have to withdraw
The Russians have been doing this for a while now. This trick gets you much more range out of rockets on helicopter at the cost of accuracy. That said it's not as wildly inaccurate as people might think because Russians have put targeting computers on their helicopters specifically with this in mind ala cold war toss bombing. Bit of a neat trick I say.this kind of low dive attack happen when place is practically empty. not even a machine gun that can damage a fighter.
they are not showing competence but desperation in empty places. than question arises why this TB-2 standing there to record a fighter attack. this assume this video is not made up.
when there is slight chance of air defense they use ballistic rocket launch technique or much heavier rockets to increase distance.
