The fighting for Seversk, which is located in the DPR a few dozen kilometers from Lisichansk, has already begun The assistant to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR

Looks like Lysychansk is fully encircled. Any remaining Ukrainians there will probably be cleaned up over the next few days

RIP, apparently 4 civilians died from the missile. Anyone have an idea about what missile the Ukrainians used, what the target was meant to be, was it intercepted and fell on a residential area?
Intercepting ballistic missile in terminal phase by small missile of Pantsir usually means it will reach vicinity of its target anyway, either as debree or sometimes as single body. To destroy it completely requires direct hit by large missile (something like S300-400). If it carries cluster warhead, intercept is likely to cause it to fail spreading its submunitions properly thus decreasing damage but it cannot be completely prevented. Some submunitions inevitably will not explode during intercept (even by large missile) and will hit something on the ground.

Did they use Pantsyr tho ? It doesn't really have ABM capability. That Pantsyr should be intercepting something else, and falling booster is unfortunately a side effect. At least it should be Buk. There is tho S-300/400 site in Belgorod supposedly. As for the S-300/400's. the 48N6 missile have kind of warhead which optimized to destroy missile warhead in flight. So well, for it's not gonna destroy it completely. and in populated area the remnants of missile may still reach something.

The question tho is how many missiles launched by Ukraine and what else accompanying it. There were also reports of Drones being intercepted in Kursk. Sama might also happen in Belgorod.

At least this was posted on one of Russian telegram channels. Maybe it was mistake and missile was hit by something larger. Video from Belgorod showed fairly large explosion in midair and 6 seconds later large explosion on the ground. Probably intercept prevented warhead from splitting submunitions and it exploded as whole when it fell on the ground, at least Russian telegram channels claim three missiles were launched and all three Tochkas carried cluster warheads

word is Seversk is attacked on multiple sides. Russians crossed the northern banks of the river attack the town from the back. If that town falls there is lots of flatland from there to Slaviansk. This also means Soledar and Bakhmut is threatened from the north. Things are collapsing fast in the Donbass for the Ukrainians.

Latest word is Ukrainians are already withdrawing from Seversk. Recall last night I said Russian may have crossed the Siverskyi Donets River at multiple locations north of Serversk:

This thread has calmed down significantly in engagement from the pro-Ukrainian camp ever since the Russians started making steady and constant gains since May.

All the OSINT guys on Twitter are still in denial stage with terms like tactical retreatS and pullbackS. The US has already stated countless times that they will do whatever is possible to fight to the last Ukrainian and Putin seems to be giving them just that.
