These were the american veterans caught earlier, it seems.

In one of the tweets, it is mentioned they were basically send towards a town with bad intel. It is said a squad of 10 were told the area was clear and when they arrived, a russian offensive with several T-72B3's and BMP-3's was underway within the town
If they were captured you would think the Russians would have announced it by now. They're ether dead or MIA.

to Ankara. More dangerously, it could result in close encounters between NATO and Russian warships. Those straits are mighty narrow, tho’; could be a Kinzhal Türkiye (pun-intended) shoot! Has Russia loaded those onto Tu-22M3s, yet?

350,000 casualty of all kind a year, or an annual casualty rate of ballpark 1% of population, is not even close to a demographically prohibitive loss rate. If ukraine is determined to resist, can mobilize effectively, and can replace its material loses, it can easily sustain this casualty rate indefinitely.

Five Blunt Truths About the War in Ukraine

[My Comment]
Why is China often showing up on the war, which is for all practical matters has nothing to do with China.
[/My Comment]

Because reality is the US wants to contain China.
US is running out of ideas on what to do next after after they sacrifice the last Ukrainians.

Yet China is eating popcorn.

So, is the US Navy going to go into the Black Sea? Nice super/hypersonic cruise missile fodder.
Russia has its own unsinkable aircraft carrier called the Crimean Peninsula. With Bastion-P systems. Good luck.

Russia said Ukraine can easily send the wheat via Belarus to Baltic ports. Turkey also offered to demine Odessa and escort the grain carrying ships. But of course for the US it is a lot more important to have a reason for escalation.

UN says essential services running out in Severodonetsk: BBC

Essential supplies are running out for the thousands of civilians trapped in Severodonetsk, many sheltering in the Azot chemical plant, the UN has warned.

“The lack of water and sanitation is a big worry. It’s a huge concern for us because people cannot survive for long without water,” UN Humanitarian Affairs Office Spokesperson Saviano Abreu told the BBC.

He said that food supplies and health provisions were also running out in Severodonetsk, adding that continued fighting meant the organisation and its agencies cannot get access or assurances to safely reach the civilians still there – including women, children and the elderly.

The governor of Luhansk has said approximately 12,000 civilians remain in the city, with about 500 sheltering at the Azot plant with some Ukrainian fighters.
