Soldiers of the 36th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, 29th Army, of the "Vostok" Group of Forces, continued their rapid offensive and liberated the settlement of Blagodatne, in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The soldiers from Transbaikalia took control of a large defensive area of the enemy, covering an area of more than 5 square kilometers. As a result of prolonged fighting, the following were destroyed: up to a squad of personnel from the 82nd Separate Assault Battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 4 armored fighting vehicles, 7 units of automotive equipment, 3 ground robotic complexes, and 32 "Baba Yaga" type hexacopters.

The liberation of Blagodatne was the result of a powerful combined effort by aviation, artillery, and drone units, as well as the coordinated work of assault units. The liberation of this settlement allowed the troops to consolidate their positions and continue the liberation of the Zaporizhzhia region.

"The Far Eastern Express" continues to move forward according to schedule!

Episodes of Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian units in Oleksievo-Druzhkovka in the Donbas. Reportedly, scattered Ukrainian units retreated from Kostiantynivka and attempted to gain a foothold in Oleksievo-Druzhkovka, where they were attacked by Russian drones. The drone models were not disclosed, and the video was edited down.

Seems like skill issue. Su-35 should have both radar/avionics range/missile range (R-77M) advantage over the 30 year old F-16s currently employed by Ukraine.
Hi,
might be another way of Trump administration to convince the representative to export latest F16s to Ukraine or may be some blk 52/ if not 70/72 with the integration of Meteor missiles before the actual Gripen or Rafale land in Ukrainian airforce as they can always get a Que from SAaB early warning for network centric
thank you

D-30 howitzer of Group Dniepr takes action against a Ukrainian UAV control point in the Grigorovka area of the Zaporizhye region. Blast radius from an artillery round with fragments can destroy communications antenna, EW systems, power generators, hidden parked vehicles, and a direct hit can collapse a bunker. In the battlefield, the top priority is to take out a UAV control point.

If you wondered what the Russians are using as an interceptor drone against winged UAVs that take this FPV footage, I believe it's a Molinya drone without an explosive warhead. Without weight, such a drone is light and fast, and costs only $300-500 per plane. Group Center of forces in the Dobrophilia sector where things are getting hot.

I can't shake this feeling that firing Syrskyi is theatrical (and replacing him with someone who did the theatrics back in 2014). After all, Ukraine needs to hold the fort lines and use them to bleed Russian resources. There's just no place to trade for time for the nimble mission command style they are advertising. Someone will need to issue orders "hold Kramatorsk at all cost", right...? I am just so confused by this switch. at some point you need boots on the ground and bodies in the trenches. (especially when defending what remains of the Donbas region due to its obvious negotiation weight)

@Tam

How many more major fortress cities remain on the Donbass line under Ukraine? I was reading its only 2 now but can you confirm the details?

Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. Druzhkivka is more of a town. But there are also settlements that need to be taken. Group West of forces are as close as 6-7 km from Slavyansk-Kramatorsk, but before they can assault directly they need to seize the settlements, trenches, forest lines and patches around and near the cities. They also need to close cauldrons and pockets and flatten the front line.

Mobile armour maneuver like Blitzkrieg does not work in these day and age, even if Western doctrine is still fixated at this idea. This is as bad as horse cavalry facing Maxim machineguns. You need not to think of mobility and space but of position, arcs, circles and ranges. You need to capture certain high ground, forest ground, urban shelters so you can put your field supply depots, artillery positions, drone control positions, deployment and observation areas. The settlements itself is not as important as the forest patch next to it. Troops once they take a village, they will retreat and hide in the forest nearby, because the settlements themselves will get attacked by opposing artillery and drones.

Once these fire positions are formed, you look at the range radii of the artillery and drone forces you put in it.

Mortar - 7km
Tank - 10km
Artillery - Up to 50km.
Fiberoptic FPV - 10 to 30km.
Molinya FPV - 10 to 60km
Reconnaissance drone (Z-16, S350, Orlan-10/30) up to 120km. These drones also spot targets for FABs.

The two cities and surrounding settlements, roads leading into them are well within artillery and drone ranges, and are in the death zone. The cities are going to be covered by a web if optic fiber which reminds me of an insect wrapped helplessly in a spider's web, and the spider will take it's time draining the life juices of the insect out.
