Would be way better for them to let the civilians go. Using them like a shield is a disgrace. Are they territorial troops ? If they are from the region, they just cannot do that, it's more or less family ?

Didn’t they send a foreign detachment and a politicians into the Azot chemical plant?Would be way better for them to let the civilians go. Using them like a shield is a disgrace. Are they territorial troops ? If they are from the region, they just cannot do that, it's more or less family ?
If they are a foreign detachment and got news of their fellow mercenaries getting the death sentence... they could act crazy big time. I cannot see that ending well in that case if the Russian don't give them a sweet way out.Didn’t they send a foreign detachment and a politicians into the Azot chemical plant?
The number went up again lol.Ukrainian official casualty report from Presidential Adviser Oleksiy Arestovych:
They're admitting up 300 a day now? That's pretty much what the Russians have been saying all along.Ukrainian official casualty report from Presidential Adviser Oleksiy Arestovych:
The pro-Ukraine crowd does seem to have split. One half continues to think they are still winning and the Russians will be expelled shortly. The other smaller group seems to have realised that Ukraine is getting absolutely pummelled and that it the current situation is not sustainable without more foreign support. Naturally the former think the later are pro-Putin bots who are undermining the Ukraine war effort, but most seem to want more weapons to be sent to the Ukraine.Several pro-Ukraine OSINTbros seem to have decided to take a break from social networks at the same time. It might be a hint of the shift in public discourse, that the west might start reporting less about the war to facilitate throwing Ukraine under the bus.
Which could mean Ukraine's possition is getting increasingly worse and something broke the past few days. But that's just speculation on my part
Yes I noticed two prominent ones that did it at exactly same time for exactly same length of time:Several pro-Ukraine OSINTbros seem to have decided to take a break from social networks at the same time. One presidential adviser, Oleksiy Arestovych, told the Guardian this week it was daily; another, Mykhaylo Podolyak, told the BBC that 100 to 200 Ukrainian troops a day were being killed.
Seems to me more like high casualties are more likely to make the west say "looks like they're done for, let's not sink any more resources into that bottomless pit" than the opposite. Particularly with US just now reporting 8.6% inflation and 0.9% GDP growth.Arestovych himself said it was 150 killed and 800 wounded daily in that Guardian article posted earlier in this thread. Article written June 10. Now it's no less than 200 to 300 killed.
I guess Ukraine's new PR strat is to up the casualty rates closer to what it actually is to garner sympathy from the western public to pressure for more weapons deliveries? If this works maybe they'll start to exaggerate their casualty reports.
