Another high-rise building hit in Kazan. This attack seems highly symbolic since the 16th BRICS summit was just in Kazan and it is very far from Ukraine.
What's the point of this other than symbolic gesture?
Does this improve their positioning on the ground? Or is it just desperation lashing out?
Sorry I meant symbolic to more than just Russia.

The Russians tracked military vehicles with EW systems going in and out of the building, which is also being used to treat the military wounded. The Russians determined the place to be one of the largest deployment points of UAV and FPV drone crews, and responded with a destructive air strike. Kherson region.

The Ukrainian 44th Mechanized Brigade demonstrated the use of a Polish Rosomak APC with Mk 310 PABM-T programmable air-burst ammunition. The Ukrainian Rosomak APC fires Mk 310 PABM-T programmable projectiles from a 30mm Mk44 Bushmaster II automatic cannon. Before feeding the projectile into the barrel, a special programmer, through the receiving coil, enters into the fuse electronics the distance at which the main charge of the projectile should be detonated.
It’s well known that the success rate of the FPV drones is low. However the cost of the drones can be under $1000, many articles estimate roughly $2000. One NLAW ATGM is $40,000, this is considered a good value as the Javelin costs about $200,000. You can recalculate the “return on investment”.
Is the cheapness inherent to the FPV design, or just difference in manufacture? Ex: corruption in military production vs mil-civil fusion production for drones.
