The War in the Ukraine

Someone have seen T-55 and T-62 lately ??? We had one year of video and news about them sent to the front to replace all the Russian losses. We had video of full trains going, loaded with T-55 and T-62. Where are they ?

Didn't see video of Ukrainian drone attack on them either. Maybe one or two on DPR troops ? Even used like artillery, they have less range than dedicated one and are probably used closer to the front if it's the case....

I think I have seen more video of gifted M-55S in action on the front than Russian T-55.
Weren’t those from batches modernized over a decade ago? I don’t recall seeing reports of continued modernization of those models?

That or they are just at the rear for internal security to free newer tanks for the frontlines. Or they were on the way to be melted to make new hulls, who knows.
I suspect they're just being used as a field gun. Since Ukraine doesn't attack much these days, and Russians don't use them as AFVs, you're not going be seeing much if any footage of them.

We are seeing howitzer getting hit by UAV... if these are in range these T-55 are even more, I'm quite sure we would see more footages.

I'm thinking about propaganda push or stop gap solution that was short in time and mostly abandoned when production/refurbishing of better tanks have been settled. Just strange that we had seen so much hype about these convoy for them to disappear in the mist.

Ukraine still going hard with the NK narrative. Earlier today there was an article from Kyiv Independent on Russians burning NK bodies so they can't be identified. It's getting comical at this point.

Basically, Ukraine's NK narrative has gone all the way around with NK sending soldiers, NK soldiers all happen to be in Kursk, NK soldiers getting killed in Kursk (despite Ukraine losing ground and taking heavy losses), but apparently dead NK soldiers can't be identified (though Ukraine claims its in the 1,000s+).

IMO there would be undisputable evidence by now if there was truly a sizable NK front line force fighting in the war. It's simply not possible to hide that.

I have seen videos of T-55s being used as field guns.

They pull up a few km from the target zone, and fire as indirectly as they can. Russia still had a stockpile of 100mm at the beginning of the conflict, so this is a way to use up "free" T-55 and 100mm.

T-62s are used as second-line tanks. At the beginning of the Kursk incursion, 2 T-62Ms were caught on their towing vehicles and destroyed by artillery or drones. So those tanks had been rushed in to defend a previously-quiet front.

Rumours are that the T-62 was being used similarly as a defensive tank, for second or third lines that might be breached during offensives. They likely are also used in packs of vehicles assaulting settlements. Some of these assaults have involved a dozen or dozens of older vehicles.

Sure, we have seen that. What I think was meant is the apparent fact that despite all the trains seen with T-62's and the cope/hype surrounding them being spotted allegedly on the way to the frontlines, they are are largely absent from combat footage.

They had a brief peak in late 2022 and early 2023 but they are barely mentioned nowadays and we are back to seeing T-80's and T-72's.
