The War in the Ukraine

Footage of a Russian Iskander-M missile hitting a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet, made in the Soviet Union, has been published. The video was filmed at the Dnepr military airfield. The strike was carried out by a 9M723-K5 missile equipped with a cluster warhead. The video shows an air burst and the missile's precise hit on the target. Presumably, a missile with a 9E436 optical seeker was used, the probable deviation from the target is then 5-20 meters. As a result of the Iskander-M missile strike, the MiG-29 was destroyed, and ground personnel were reportedly also injured. It is worth noting that there are versions that there was a mock-up of the aircraft at the airfield. The explosion does not look like a cluster missile, but this is what the Ministry of Defense reported. Perhaps this is an unknown type of cluster warhead, they are made by two factories.

Millennium 7 just released a video explaining why the new Oreshnik missile is a very big deal.

The West still has not learned anything. Maybe they should try drawing the range of an IRBM around the Russian border and see where they will likely get hit. The US has forces in Syria and Iraq against the wishes of the local governments there which would be fair game.

Or maybe some containers full of Kalibr or Oniks missiles will get to the hands of whichever group does not like the US, be it the Houtis or whoever else.

The US forces in the ME are already under attack non-stop. This year they have been attacked over 100 times, with some deaths and injuries, but the most important losses are the billions of dollars in maintenance, replacement costs, & air defence munitions that would have otherwise ended up in Ukraine or the fantasy of the future China war. A drone here, drone there. Rocket here, rocket there. Just enough uncertainty to keep them hemorrhaging money. There is no need to use things like the Club-K and escalate, just slow roast their bank accounts in what Mark Sleboda calls the Salami Slice strategy that makes it difficult to justify escalations.

What are the chances of North Korea testing their ballistic missiles in Ukraine btw?
Artillery rounds, ballistic missiles and MLRS are in high demand anyway. Could be a nice testing ground with credible air deterrence against them. Ukraine is used like a testing ground for a lot of stuff both sides, adding North Korea in the mix would not be far off.

Waiting to see more test of autonomous system like AI controlled air and ground drone. Ballistic missiles are better subjects for the press but these AI systems are the future.

Supposedly had its aircraft evacuated a long time ago.
There is little to destroy there in terms of infrastructure. Try looking at satellite photos of it. It is a bunch of runways with little else. Maybe they made some potholes. But since it seems they used cluster explosives probably not even that.

Hoping that they have done it, it have been a target for a long time.

Quite a few explosions could be heard, it still have a number of infrastructures to destroy. Without an airwing to destroy, that strike is more a PR nuisance than a real gain. A closer footage, that guy probably crap in his pants.

It has a couple of small fuel tanks, the control building, and some workshop. But looking at the satellite pictures it seems to be on the level of a remote airport with few facilities in it.

For what it's worth the military airport in Crimea they hit several years ago was much similar. The thing is that one actually had aircraft stationed there when they hit it.
