The War in the Ukraine

Wow, they were just sitting there in the open.

Either they weren't expecting counterbattery fire in that area or the crews only got training and how to use the things but didn't get the "shoot-n-scoot" memo.

About 600 conscripts from the Western Military Region were wrongly involved in the special military operation in Ukraine and all of them have been returned to Russia within the tightest deadlines. Twelve officers responsible for sending them abroad have been reprimanded, the Western Military Region’s prosecutor Artur Yegiyev told the Federation Council.

It looks like the Russians still have enough manpower. Off topic, the Western Military District had a bad enough performance this time.

Probably they have read all the overhype about these 109 and they were thinking they were out of range...

According to Sky News Russia was pushed back in Severodonetsk after having almost the whole city under control. For some reason the remaining bridge from Lyschansk to Severodonetsk is still intact and in function.

In the last 10 days they’ve made no progress in closing the pocket from the Popasna salient. Instead, they’re doubling down on assaulting Severodonetsk. Weird strategy. They’re giving Ukraine plenty of time to organize counterattacks.
