NATO trainers and advisors, even veteran ones, didn't have any combat experience against peer/near-peer adversaries while a lot of Ukrainian service members do
I think NATO could benefit a lot recruiting these Ukrainian veterans into their service after the war. Their experience are invaluable to NATO, who posture itself to fight peer opponents but lack the experience.

Institutional bias and snobbery, if not racism, will prevent that. Otherwise they would have done so already. Furthermore, NATO and it's institutions, staffs, officers and 'experts' will not admit they are wrong, and will double down on tactics that have proven wrong in the battlefield. And that's what the Russians are hoping, always preying on these mistakes, e.g. open movement of transports that betray hidden ammunition depots.

The Ukrainian experienced and elites are always transferred and collected to elite units, creating a huge disparity between elite and cannon fodder units, like WW2 Germany's Waffen SS vs. the Volksturm. It is as of the AFU are trying to model themselves to the Wehrmacht. Whereas the Allies, spread their experienced soldiers to lead units of the inexperienced, or send them back as instructors to train new recruits, both which proved to be the war winning methods. Dispersing the Wagner PMC proved to be a boom for the Russians, as ex-Wagnerians either become instructors or promoted to lead inexperienced units on their own. This is helping the Russians in urban battles of late.

Sat pics of aftermath of attack at Morozovsk Air Base
Lots of reaching in some of those pictures. The image quality is too low that allows to basically claim any dark spot in them to be a missile strike

Like this one, just pasting arrows on low quality pictures with what might well be grease spots and claim they were hit
GUNDmSuXgAAjVUA.jpg

Or this. "We totally hit this Su-34 in the far corner, while we also claim we hit this tight grouping over here". Also quite interesting that they had a direct hit on that particular Su-34 but the weapons igloo right next to it seems perfectly ok, wonder how that works.

Compared with the actual damage caused on the local ammo depot that was actually hit, seems quite sus

Holy crap, imagine the footage we would've gotten if there were smartphones and small cameras during the Korean War...
Gotta love that he assumes it must be the rear of Russia because why the fuck not, lol.

So much for the speculation that the Russians want to take Kharkiv. If that was the case they would not be hitting Turboatom. This company makes steam turbines for nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, as well as hydropower turbines.
Depending on the destruction this could make servicing the power infrastructure in Ukraine much harder.

The Russians are testing a 1000 km range version of the Iskander. Probably the Russian version of this missile.

Long Battle for a Ruined City Takes a Desperate Turn

Ukrainian troops are engaged in a harsh struggle for Toretsk, a strategic city in eastern Ukraine that has been under relentless assault by Russian forces.
The soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces were not prepared for combat and abandoned several positions in the Toretsk sector (Niu York direction) in a matter of days, the New York Times reported today.

The Ukrainian fighters admit that the 41st Mechanized Brigade was unable to defend Toretsk due to a lack of knowledge of the general situation at the front. They also criticized the military leadership in Kiev for not listening to the observations made by tactical commanders, as well as "for issuing unclear orders and not reacting quickly to changes in the situation."

The General Staff of Ukraine, in response to written questions from the newspaper, declined to discuss operational details, but said that the Ukrainian military leadership "always takes into account the suggestions of commanders on the ground," the New York Times reported.

Details of the Ukrainian attempt to land marines in the Tendra Inner Harbor, in the Kherson direction, have emerged. For the second time this year, Ukrainian forces are attempting to land in Tendra, at the mouth of the Dnieper River.

The location is very isolated, with only a small Russian garrison operating a lighthouse, where they monitor the air and sea space. Since midnight yesterday, Ukrainian forces have been conducting reconnaissance using a Turkish-made TB2 drone.

In order to conceal the landing, the Ukrainians allegedly used suicide naval drones in advance. At around 03:00, 12 boats with Ukrainian troops advanced towards the target. As a result of the fighting, the first 3 boats were reportedly destroyed, and in the face of the Russian reaction, the remaining 9 boats withdrew.
