The War in the Ukraine

You're welcome

I don't care about "accepting" Russian losses, they have plenty of real documented losses, my feelings are irrelevant. None of my "caring" will stop anyone from dying on either side. However, you have a history of posting unverified accounts such as the 5 Su-34/35 shot down in one week, while only one was proven.

Even in the Breaking Defense article, problematic sources are used
1. Newsweek (known to be posting many conspiracy theories)
2. Business Insider (Known for clickbait, does not post original articles)
3. David Axe (Not necessarily dishonest, but known for his rah-rah America F-Yeah! approach, basically like you)

"Whataboutism", the classic American re-deflection. If you had first hand experience on how the military will lie to you, you would be skeptical too.

Will never not be amusing having some people come here and accuse others of being Russian propagandists when all they do is uncritically dump Ukranian propaganda+unverified claims and don't post anywhere else on the site. And promptly disappear for days on end when the PR coups dry up, just to do it all over again

New photos from Akhtubinsk.

In order not to get up twice, I will say that two Su-57s were damaged. The second Su-57 suffered minor damage that will be repaired on site. I already wrote about the first one. They will think that it would be advisable to restore it, or not, because... The board is really a prototype and of little use for combat.

Of the three unmanned aerial vehicles that attacked the airfield, all three managed to survive. For what reasons the air defense did not work, I will not write ‍. Let the older ones deal with the reasons and how it happened.
The only rejection the UAV tried to give was a detachment that shot them with two magazines and then spent the whole morning collecting bullet casings at the airfield.

The arch over the plane is an unfinished hangar, who the hell knows when they started building it and then abandoned it to hell, like many other airfields. Perhaps one of those same 300 shelters that began to be built at an accelerated pace in 2021.

In short, we are waiting for the next arrival.
We stock up on shell casings and counterfeit specialists in advance.

Yes, not a single plane in the photo was damaged.

They have been lucky that the damage was minimal... They have tried to make decent shelters, yes they have tried, except that corruption makes the projects last many years, what a shame for those in charge of logistics

The Siberians did it again as the Siberian Association takes out another Abrams and a BREM using a Krasnopol. This is the third Abrams they took out in two weeks.

Ukrainians hit Kherson again on what appears clearly another civilian target.

Drones tracked an AFU military truck to a deployment point or ammunition depot, and a Mi-35 takes it out with a LMUR. Note the increasing usage of this weapon.

No significant damage can be seen on the drone attack on the Su-57.

Another kidnapping cum mobilization attempt in progress by the Ukrainian TCC.

Dragons Teeth dumped somewhere near a reservoir near Kharkhiv. Does not look anything close a defensive line to me. More like a trash heap.

Russians working up new drones, working on neural networks. Dove and Sparrow.

Ukraine hit an empty recreational center claiming it's the HQ of Group North. Doesn't look anything but a recreational center.

Really pushing it there with the luck and damaged claims. Might as well be an oil slick.

Now for corruption, tells us about the impressive defensive line built around Kharkiv
No need for Kharkiv line when Russian army can't exploit Ukraine's many short comings... which says a lot about the state of the Russian army.

There are some interesting things I don't know under which topic.
The video is long and shows an engineer's technical analysis of a captured Javelin missile. Because the video is pedagogical in nature it takes a long time to explain.

This is an interesting video maker (provided you know Chinese) who explains a lot of weapons from the war in Ukraine based on publicly available sources. The performance of these weapons can be analyzed from the fabrication level of the circuit board.
It's long, but the short summary is that the cost of the javelin missile is actually very low, even to the point of cutting corners.

In the 21:00 position of the video, he delivers a sharp criticism of the Javelin missile. From the point of view of hardware structure, "seeker needs cooling" is just an excuse to shirk responsibility rather than a practical and effective equipment. Or put more plainly: there is no cooling apparatus.

——If you're not hitting your target, it's because you're not cooling properly.

To be honest, this is beyond my comprehension. Is it true, as he says, that there is no cooling part of the seeker?

Do you really need cooling for a flight lasting less than 30 seconds?
The video's creators explained that it was "no necessary."
The teacher's point is: One possibility is that they were initially prepared to consider using a cooled infrared sensor, but ended up opting for an uncooled one. But this can be used as an excuse to cover up the missile's poor hit rate.

Not true, javelin is cooled by gas
