Syrskyi seems to be one of those generals with the cult of the offensive. He is the wrong guy to be leading a defensive operation like what is supposed to be the game plan for 2024 for Ukraine. While he had some successes in the initial defense of Kharkiv, where he basically did armored counter attacks, most of his interventions after that have been failures where he overcommited forces to the attack. This will just play into Russia's advantages in Avdiivka where the Russians enjoy fires superiority. I mean just look at the map, the place is totally surrounded by Russia. It is a perfect meatgrinder and sending more troops and equipment there into that fire bag is just a pointless waste of resources and manpower.

Curiously I've heard from multiple sources, aside from using Starlink for their intended purpose Russians are deliberately doing upload/download on their terminals to soak up bandwidth so it's not available for AFU.

Serhii Naiev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has indicated that he learned about the presidential decree on his dismissal of him from the mass media on 11 February.

Naiev (now former commander of the joint forces) is out, replaced by Yuri Sodol (current commander of the marines). Furthermore, Oleksandr Pavliuk is now the commander of the Land Forces (replacing Syrsky).
