I guess:
Lancet uses TV guidance, the BUK was fastly moving, the Lancet came in with an angle but BUK is moving away making it hard to aim, the Lancet operator's finger and brain is not fast enough to keep track, so it is safer to aim at a middle point of the whole BUK. It is always better to hit somewhere than let BUK get away unscratched.

Again and again, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered heavy losses. At some point in the heat of the war, Russian troops managed to destroy Ukrainian military vehicles using only drones or lancet series loitering ammunition. The recording was widely circulated on Telegram Social Media on Thursday (24 August 2023)

If experience is what matters the best soldiers are the members of LPR/DPR who've been holding off the Ukrainians alone for 8 years. Yet apparently we're lead to believe they are the worst.

Wagner is a PR stunt. They make cool videos. For some reason even western analysts have bought into their mythology.

There is always some Russian super soldier unit in the pipeline. Before Wagner it was Chechen spetznaz (in the Russian meaning, which is an independent unit).

Next it will be Omega Red, Red Guardian, or maybe Crimson Dynamo
