operator of the patriot system that faced the Russian Kh-47 Kinzhal missiles, I assure that in reality they travel at 1 third of what the manufacturer and Russian propaganda assure:

i dont think Russian has used 6 MIG-31K simultaneously and that was pointed out by Shoigu that we didnot fire that many kinzal as intercepted. and than another statement by Russian industry ministry of kind missile system that can intercept hypersonics.
. The next time, when we saw not one, but six Kinzhals on our monitors, it was just a matter of getting on with the job.”

similar things are happening with Vikhr missile. Videos seem longer duration than missile stated range and than i saw this statement of increasing its range. no one will state range and speed accurately but it give some ball park idea.

Shoigu instructed to increase the range of Whirlwind missiles to 12 km

easy to dismantle. And while these obstacles may temporarily slow down any kind of territorial incursion into Belgorod, they provide little defence against drones and air attacks, the main threat in the region. The border with Ukraine is long and the fortifications are unmanned, making them even more vulnerable.

In perhaps a reflection of the Kremlin’s priorities, while air defences do operate in Belgorod, no extra military reinforcements have been sent there; National Guard have not been deployed to support Gladkov, nor have there been any serious efforts to reduce civilian casualties by relocating military assets within Russia away from populated areas – all of which would reduce the risk for the local population. It is only recently that some people have been

from border villages.

This is a pretty cookie-cutter article, but what caught my eye is the claim that the National Guard have not been deployed.

Now this is interesting to me because I actually do not know what role Rosgvardia necessarily plays in Russia's operations. From what I've mostly seen, they are an interior force similar to most forms of gendermarie but RUSI seems to imply that they are more similar to US National Guard, and that their lack of deployment is a "surprise".

Is Rosgvardia doctrinally expected to do conventional fighting? I've never heard of that. In fact, to me, it makes a lot of sense for them not to be deployed.

Kinzhal could have decoy launcher like the Iskander. If so, the speed/numbers/interceptions of missiles are probably hard to sort out while decoy are impeding good detection and interception.

Does anybody here have a civil engineering background? I'm wondering how much it would take to bring down a run of river dam like the Dnieper hydroelectric station using only conventional munitions.
I'm not sure whether its engineered such that individual sections are stable even if others collapse.

A lot of people are claiming those destroyed Msta-S were done in by counter battery fire with opposing artillery using precision rounds and that the blasts look nothing like rocket blasts.
Whatever killed them, attrition occur on the Russian side too. Some Russian Msta-S getting blown is not surprising but not a lot of video of Russian howitzer getting hit lately . Precision of the hits were awesome tho. Guided amunitions for sure, nice job.

We see about 3 or 4 artillery systems getting busted per day on Ukrainian side, no need to hit the roof... even 100 Russians dead in Kremina front compared to the thousand Ukrainians loss during the last week counter offensive is like putting a band-aid on a chainsaw wound.
