There's still a river there. This might make raiding significantly easier, but actually supplying a big offensive force over a river like that? I'm skeptical. They might move quickly at first but the second they come under fuel/ammo pressure it would be very bad.
Alternatively the Zaporozhye damn could cut downstream flows entirely. But that would make it obvious what they were trying to do, and the Russians could attack it to potentially devastating effect.
A big attack across the river will likely be in coordination with the main offensive across the frontlines.

Most likely. It won't be able to use armor or potentially even trucks though so I'm not sure how much it could accomplish.

I think it's pretty clear now that both sides have been expanding extraordinary amount of munition in the last week. This makes me recall all of Prigozhin's public cussing out towards Shoigu and Gerasimov for not sending him enough ammo to Wagner and Bakhmut.
As Wagner's casualty climbed at Bakhmut Prigozhin's antics became increasingly unhinged. I can understand where he's coming from being the boss and sending thousands of his boys to death to buy time for Russian army. Alas at Shoigu and Gerasimov's level they can't simply send all ammo to Bakhmut because they have other priorities, and the level of firework we're seeing now is the result of their preparation.
Hopefully seeing the action unfold during this counterattack makes Prigozhin realise why MOD made decisions as they did in the first half of the year.

It is so obvious that he is given the role of a court jester to be allowed to say anything, from exaggerated positives to extreme negatives, mocking anyone from foot soldier to king, in a dumb propaganda op meant to fool the most stupid among western audiences. And the newest news from Prigozhin is that Wagner will return on 5th of August. Lol lmao he is announcing a war deployment like it's the next AAA video game title. You can bet that Wagner is going to show up on any day except the 5th at this point.
