You cannot trust any claim that comes out of Russia when it comes to this war. They are trying really hard and failing to cover up that the ship was hit and very likely damaged.

Also it looks like US helped Ukraine find the ship which if true I would consider it "crossing a red line."

It will be interesting how this will be spined

The map you posted literally says:

They claim is that Russians took back some positions, not the full extent of the spring offensive losses.

It was literally the same russian channel that posted the photo that a subscriber from Crimea sent, the first to say it could be other ship as well.

Russian MoD now admits the S-350 Vitayaz is already in active service with a number of kills after secret operational testing, the latest kill a MiG-29 in automatic mode. Previously this kill was only generically attributed to 'Russian air defense systems'.


Nona-S bags vehicular kills across the Dniepr river (0.25 of the video for kill footage). Drone assistance used.

S-350 Vityaz is made specifically for countering saturation attacks if I remember correctly. Optimized for cruise missiles and drones, but obviously, as part of echelon defense, it can be used to hit anything.

The tweet pretty much says it all in my opinion

This whole narrative by many that they are saving them for a possible NATO confrontation is just a lie so that folks can cope. Dropping dumb bombs at low altitude in your own airspace with your "best" A2G aircraft is rubbish.

The missiles are a fair analog to the Aster 15/30. The long 9M96E variant has a maximum range of 120km like the Aster 30, and the short variant has a range of 50km similar to the Aster 25. Similar to the Asters, the Vitayaz is active radar guided, so they don't require a ground based illumination radar, allowing them to target as many as possible in all directions.

There's also a passive radar unit or ESM that's shown here among the support vehicles.


This means the battery doesn't need to emit radar but detect and track the target using the target's radar passively and can choose to target and launch the missile at it.

Wrong footage.

Right footage.


0.52 shows bomb dropped right at the vehicles and direct hit. Note the footage is in infrared, meaning night vision is used by an observing drone. So therefore the bombing attack was done at night.

0.12 of the clip shows Krasnopol laser guided munitions being used directly on the column, which already is showing multiple fires from successful first strike hits.

The column was tracked by Orlans, then lighted up, hit by laser guided artillery munitions. Same MO on the Bakhmut Road of Death convoys.

Hindustan Times also shares the same Russian MoD clip st 0.02 showing bomb run at night with infrared hitting directly right at the column, while 1:52 shows Krasnopol lasing and hits. The thumbnail shows the actual bomb hit.

Eh.. they can get order not to hit the building tho.

In the other hand their own version of JDAM seems doing pretty well and can hit stuff they're intended to.

The Belgorod bomb appears to be a light bomb. Real FAB-500 has way too much AOE damage.

This is what a FAB-500 does, here on a new strike at a Ukrainian base in Kherson.


Some supply route used by the Ukrainians got bombed and destroyed. You could guess what the culprit weapon might be.

Same MOD that said no unmanned attack boat hit the Ivan Khurs, right? I don't know and neither do you what the VKS is blowing up only what Russian MOD is telling you and I wouldn't trust any info that comes from them.

While Ukraine MOD still says Bakhmut still has heavy battles, haha.

Still does not change that what's on that tweet isn't the videos the Russian MOD posted and they are the only ones with the air control that could post a drone sourced video.

You also have no evidence of a burning or sunk Ivan Khurs which would have been too obvious to any reconnaissance aircraft. You yourself posted all the possible aircraft that could potential photo capture a burning and sinking ship.

Reminds me of the cope story behind the Vasily Bykov.
