The War in the Ukraine

Ukranians have tried to advance into Kozinka-Glotovo in Belgorod. So far two tanks and some IFV's have been reported

Rybar list:
two tanks, one APC and nine armoured vehicles

Seems like the usual PR stunt to distract attention from Bakhmut. Russians sent helis, there is videos of even a Mi-26.
Big explosions in an ammo depot in Kramatorsk with secundary explosions too

If this units get trashed, I see the Ukranians distancing themselves and claiming it was a rogue unit that they don't have anything to do with. If it holds a few days, then the Ukranians might claim as some sort of victory to try to deviate the news from the loss of Bakhmut.

Either way, we'll see if this goes unanswered by the Russians as this is an actual attempt at occupation of their territory not related to the DNR/LPR

These are Russian freedom fighters

Of course they'll likely be repelled how long it will take that is another question. This could be a distraction or series of distractions coming up just before Ukraine's main offensive begins.

Considering several of them were identified as Ukranian already, seems like your typical SBU bullshit as they seem completely incapable of pulling plausible deniability properly.

They tried the same half-assed deniability a few months ago.
I'm not saying they are all Russian force I'm pretty sure pissed off Ukrainians that have lost have volunteered for this... whatever this is.

It doesn't seem like much has been committed, a few vehicles and a few fire teams to draw defensive troops away from the front line is hardly a waste, same as all the probing attacks around Bakhmut flanks. Russia definitely has to commit force here simply because it is straight up Russian land.

The fact that they have MaxxPros should be enough hint this isn't some random ragtag group, unless the Ukranians are having their MRAPs stolen by "freedom fighters".

This is like trying to argue the T-72B3 seen with the DNR/LPR early in the conflict in 2015 actually were Ukranian or something

It isn't even a distraction but a complete waste of resources. So called Russian freedom fighters should have attacked outposts or checkpoints or government infrastructure as a hit and run tactic. An attempt to hold any territories is just suicidal mission without any objective.
I wouldn't call it a waste of resources.
The forces employed are around one company.
They have achieved a propaganda victory and probably studied Russian movements.
The unknown variable is how much damage was done by aircraft dropping guided munitions in the rear of the operation.

Depending on the hardware they are using to hold the villages, it might also make Russia have to consider shelling their own village as part of retaking. It might also be a bait to lure aircraft for Ukranian GBAD, as of now there's too little information to decern who and why.
