What's left of part of the Kremenaya forest, ground is littered with 30mm casings and an Ukranian tank.

Probably the work of the BMPTs

Direct hit of what I guess its a mortar round on an Ukranian SUV

Ukranians try to shoot down a Russian jet. They fire three MANPADS with one of the missiles crashing into a ditch right after launch

Acording to this diagram, this is what the warhead of the Kinzhal looks like which is similar to that of the Kh-15 apparently

Ukraine's allies claim that Ukraine has received everything it needs for the upcoming counter-offensive.

Ukraine has the resources it needs to recapture territory occupied by Russia, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on May 9.

"They have in place ... what they need to continue to be successful in regaining territory that was seized by force by Russia over the last 14 months," Blinken said during a press conference with U.K. Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, as quoted by CNN.

According to Blinken, this preparedness pertains not only to the weaponry added to Ukraine's arsenal but the training of Ukrainian soldiers.

But Zelensky and his team say they need more help and time, and Ukraine is not yet ready for the counter-offensive.
Sounds like they're looking for excuses to avoid launching their offensive. Or Zelensky is bluffing... Time will tell!

CNN: Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said his country needs more time to launch a much-anticipated counter-offensive against Russian forces, as its military awaits the delivery of promised military aid.

The expected attack could be decisive in the war, redrawing frontlines that, for months, have remained unchanged. It will also be a crucial test for Ukraine, eager to prove that the weapons and equipment it has received from the West can result in significant battlefield gains.

Speaking at his headquarters in Kyiv, President Zelensky described combat brigades, some of which were trained by Nato countries, as being "ready" but said the army still needed "some things", including armoured vehicles that were "arriving in batches".
"With [what we already have] we can go forward, and, I think, be successful," he said in an interview for public service broadcasters who are members of Eurovision News, like the BBC. "But we'd lose a lot of people. I think that's unacceptable. So we need to wait. We still need a bit more time."

When and where the Ukrainian push will happen is a secret. Russian forces, meanwhile, have fortified their defences along a frontline that runs for 900 miles (1,450km) from the eastern regions of Luhansk and Donetsk, to Zaporizhzhia and Kherson in the south.

Ukrainian authorities have tried to lower expectations of a breakthrough, publicly and in private. Earlier this month, a senior government official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the country's leaders "understood that [they] needed to be successful" but that the assault should not be seen as a "silver bullet" in a war now in its 15th month.

The president, however, expressed confidence that the Ukrainian military could advance, warning of the risks of a "frozen conflict" which, he said, was what Russia was "counting on".

For Kyiv, any result that is seen as disappointing in the West could mean a reduction in military support and pressure to negotiate with Russia. With nearly a fifth of the country under Russian control, and President Vladimir Putin declaring the annexation of four regions his forces partially occupy, this would possibly include discussions about land concessions.

"Everyone will have an idea," President Zelensky said. "[But] they can't pressure Ukraine into surrendering territories. Why should any country of the world give Putin its territory?"

Mr Zelensky dismissed fears about losing US support if President Joe Biden, who has vowed to support Ukraine as long as it takes, is not re-elected in 2024. Ukraine, he said, still enjoyed bipartisan support in the US Congress. "Who knows where we'll be [when the election happens]?" he said. "I believe we'll win by then."

The Fog of war:

Prigozhin has claimed that Zelensky is spreading misinformation and that Ukraine's counteroffensive is fully underway.

Prigozhin: "Zelensky is cunning, the counteroffensive is in full swing".

So the founder of PMC "Wagner" commented on the statement of the Ukrainian president that he decided to postpone the counteroffensive.

“In the Artyomovsk direction, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine go into the flanks, and, unfortunately, in some places they are successful in doing so. We go to slam them, they slam us, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine it is now important to break through the Artyomovsk direction. The next destinations will be Bryansk, Belgorod regions with access to the territory of the Russian Federation and Zaporizhia,” Prigozhin said.

PMC "Wagner" continue to carry out combat missions "in a terrible shortage of ammunition and a shell city," Prigozhin added. The promises made by the Ministry of Defense are "not kept".

According to this Politico article, quoting US officials, Prigozhin is spreading disinformation:

Forces affiliated with Wagner, Russia’s leading paramilitary organization, continue to hold the majority of territory in the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut and possess significant stockpiles of ammunition despite some losses, according to two senior U.S. officials.

In the last week, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of Wagner, appeared in a slew of videos on social media threatening to withdraw his soldiers entirely from the city — where they have led the fighting for the Russians in recent months —in part because they did not have the necessary weapons and ammunition.

The statements sparked widespread speculation that Wagner fighters may soon leave Bakhmut altogether, potentially creating an opening for Ukrainian forces to advance. But U.S. officials said they have seen no evidence to suggest that Wagner is preparing for such a total retreat.

Prigozhin has long spoken out against the Russian defense ministry, claiming his soldiers were leading the fight on the ground and that Moscow is not doing enough to help in Bakhmut. U.S. officials said Prigozhin’s recent remarks about Bakhmut are not credible and were likely meant to elicit a reaction from inside Moscow’s defense apparatus — to force Moscow to send additional weapons.

Despite Prigozhion’s statements, Wagner continues to hold significant stockpiles of ammunition and maintains control of at least 85 percent of Bakhmut, the U.S. officials said. One of the officials said although Wagner forces appear intact in Bakhmut it is still possible that Chechen forces move into the city to help.

Both officials who spoke to POLITICO have been involved in recent administration conversations about Russia and Wagner’s activities in Ukraine and were granted anonymity to speak freely about current U.S. intelligence about the situation in Bakhmut.

“We aren’t going to comment on Mr. Prigozhin’s theatrics or on the political posturing that’s going on with him and Russia’s military leaders,” a spokesperson for the National Security Council said.

You're just yanking my chain, right? My entire post is about how the only mention of a Russian 72nd claims their presence around Vugledar, but is based on shoddy evidence. Why are you arguing with me here?

My apologies. Completely had no idea where Forbes got this idea of inserting this so called 72nd. The 155th and 40th Naval Infantry Brigades are both Siberians and both from the Eastern District command so they know each other and could function cooperatively.

The storm shadow is kinda concerning. as it's basically similar as Mugin drones but faster, stealthier and carry heavier load.

I would expect RCS of at least 0.01 sqm. in X-band and 0.1 in S. What Ukrainian would get is i wonder. If the British provides 500 km variant then it would allow Ukraine to strike deep into say Millerovo or Kursk airbase. Or a "symbolic" strike on Kerch Bridge.
