The War in the Ukraine

This are not only the most motivated (Azov or Aidar for example) but among the best equipped and trained, so being described as a militia is plain wrong, also Azov was already changing into a Regiment just before the war, that is why transition from brigade to regiment was so easy even after getting destroyed in Mariupol.

Labeling Azov, Aidar and Dnipro-1 as "militias" has been a mostly deliberate attempt by media(and people who push these narratives) to minimize their size, influence and involvement within Ukranian politics and Armed Forces.

Modernized and uparmored BRDM-2's were spotted. Seems the turrets have a panoramic camera, could make for a decent scout car even if dated in other aspects and overall design

Looking at detailed images, it also seems to have extra cameras around the hull with some sort of integration, judging b what is being shown in the screen

Ukranians are complaining that the Su-35s are too much of an issue for them to handle and are helping increase air dominance over Ukrania air space, though the article ends up coming of as part of the lobby to hand over western fighters to Ukraine more than an real assessment of what's going on.

Challenger 2's being used already for selfies and photo-ops for now

I remember following the Ukraine war early on reading a telegram post about how Russia managed to capture Izyum more easily than expected because they had sympathizers inside. I've also read about how Odessa still has pro-Russian sentiment but I'm not sure how true this is still given what you've said. Overall, does this mean that Russia's gonna have an impossible task in forcing a neutral/non-hostile Ukraine on their border?
Donetsk have still been bombed for 8 years, most of people have left and waiting to return. Sure that people stopped to be sympathizers, if the front go back, Ukrainian forces will round them up and murder them...what would you do ? You will certainly be shy ...

Not sure what kind of borders it will be, probably the Dnieper or Poland... Between a crumbled failed state that butcher their citizens and Russia that are rebuilding, look Mariupol. sane people will choose Russia, the other will remains imigrants in the EU.

Krab SPG gets struck by Lancet.

Another Krab left burning after struck by Lancet. This one is around Bakhmut.

A soldier of the obtf Kaskad, code named Gypsy, took on a bunch of Ukrainians all by himself, and killed their commander. Here he relates his tale.

They don't have the belly wheels to have side doors, big improvement. Don't know from when they received these doors on the Russian BRDM2 ? If these doors come from updates of old chassis, it's quite an update.

Serbia had received some in 2019, calling them modernized. They call them still amphibious.

Clearly not a vehicule for battle, but they can be usefull for recon or even more for Policing. Going with supply convoy or manning road block and villages behind the lines.

It started to be added in non-soviet versions, mostly Polish and Czech BRDM derivatives. This one seems to be based on the BRDM-2MS sold to Serbia a few years ago

I wouldn't put it past some Ukranian soldiers to harass eastern Ukranians in the areas not yet occupied by Russia or recaptured from them.

Seems the Ukranians have fired MLRS delivered AT-2 German mines into a residential area of Donetsk. One person was injured after having its legs blown off allegedly later died in the hospital

Russian Tor damaged after being hit by an Ukranian RAM II drone. Seems it was out of missiles and out of service already which probably prevented it from exploding.

Lost-Armour published a graph regarding Lancet use. 175 instances have bee recorded, with the majority of targets being Artillery.
Bottom graph registers the amount of recorded attacks released per month.

This soldier explains that this Polish supplied T-72, the barrel broke (exploded?) and somehow led to the death of it's crew.

Russians managed to take down this heavy duty quadcopter intact. I assume they used a jamming rifle.

I think it might be an Aurelia Systems X6 Max, which costs like $8000.

Captured drone is armed with grenades to drop on people.

This is one of those things no one talks about but it might already be widely used, here being used to take out a live target. This is a Kitolov-2M, kind of like a Krasnopol like semi active laser guided projectile that will fit a 122mm, while Krasnopols are 152mm. A version of the Kitolov is available for 120mm.

That Tor looks only damaged at best. Did the drone explode outside of the vehicle? Is the Tor abandoned in the first place?

Drone wars expected to intensify.

I think most of these strike damage/mission kill vehicules. The only thing that look to be totalled most of the time are self-propelled howitzer, the ammo of these just go pow but also ammo around field guns or S-300 missiles on launchers.

These loitering suicide drones have quie a future on the battlefields. With both sides having most of the same equipment in Ukraine, it would need more complicated IFF to use AI to identify targets.
