Any channel that presents detailed information as
daily updates as the events unfold is either lying or greatly embellishing what they know and therefore not credible or are providing worthless filler instead of commentary for views.
Weekly updates are plausible if and only if there's a lot of effort committed to OSINT analysis. But not anything shorter. Analysis of past events is plausible with some caveats even in terms of hours but requires time to gather and verify data as well as time to prepare the presentation. So perhaps three months ago is the latest that can be provided. Small individual events like the attack at Vuhledar can be done within weeks.
The information load in this theater is tremendous and the fog of war is very dense. There's a lot of uncertainty and a lot of confusion coming from sources on the ground. You need to confirm information and that often requires as many as a couple of days. And you have to know what you're doing in the first place to not make a mess of the data which doesn't apply to almost all of these people running those channels.
In other words if you commit your time and attention to any channel that does daily analysis you get exactly what you deserve.
The plane that crashed in Yenakiyevo in the DPR was a military plane, the landing site of the pilots has not yet been established," the mayor said.
Apparently, Su-34 fighter-bomber from the airspace over Yenakiyevo (Gorlovsky district) launched missiles at enemy positions, at that time it was hit by an anti-aircraft missile. Probably their own - by mistake.
Yenakiyevo is located 20 km behind the frontlines so the only explanation is friendly fire.
I'd like you to consider the fact that Ukrainian aircraft near the frontline providing CAS are rare and almost never cross the frontline and any aircraft 20km within own territory must be Russian.
The clips don't show much but it seems to be too high for MANPADS or Striela. So it's either Osa/Tor or Buk which are division/corps level assets which have their command systems integrated with the rest of the network sufficiently to prevent such incidents. There must have been no coordination of air defenses at all for the shoot-down to happen. This is occurring after a year of war and several friendly-fire shootdowns already having taken place.
I'm trying to think of an explanation and nothing comes to mind other than extreme incompetence of the commander and operating crew. That simply shouldn't happen.
