The War in the Ukraine

to prevent NATO sending troops into Ukraine?
No I think Russia is really afraid that these new weapons are going to make a difference in Ukraine's offensive capability. If Ukraine is able to hold off Russia keeping them near the Russian border with MRAPS, HUMMERS, M113's, 20 HiMARS and other outdated NATO weapons, then this new weapons package that will likely be ready by Spring is meant to push out Russian forces.

This is going to drastically change Ukraine's offensive capabilities and Russia knows this which is why Dmitry is threatening nukes. The thing is Russia has been communicated that any nuke used inside Ukraine the US would respond with the destruction of all Russian forces in Ukraine and Black sea by conventional means.

Basically this war is going to escalate which doesn't surprise me since I have always thought that this war was eventually going to become a much bigger war involving some NATO countries and US. US is sending so much of their tanks, ifv's and other armored vehicles to Poland it's like they know this war is going to get bigger.

It just frigging sucks!

That's at insane level of craziness...they have to much time on their hands, someone have some geran ?
Also those uniforms look suspiciously Hitler-Jugend-ish
them tens of thousands of troops
Source?.
So far we have more evidence of bigger ukranian losses to the point Zaluzhny told Zelensky to withdraw multiple times

Looks like Russian officials are telling us the war aint going so well for them and the new weapons Ukraine will use this spring might spell defeat for them.
Like the previous deliveries spelt defeat for them?. This is the first time NATO's "bests" will be involved in a confict against people that can actually shoot back, so get a hold of yourself.

Why would you say such a threat if your conventional forces were doing well?
To remind NATO and its fanboys this is an all or nothing affair for Russia and they are still a nuclear power since they insist on scalating the conflict at the expense of the Ukranians?

Ukraine held off Russia with NATO weapons, but Russia was also significantly undermanned and needed partial mobilization. How Ukraine would fare with the current weapons package against +300K additional Russian troops is unknown. At best, the new weapons package will maintain the stalemate, not make significant breakthroughs.

Huh? It took Russia nearly 6 months to take a small village north of Bakhmut costing them tens of thousands of troops and numerous tanks and armored vehicles and now the sky is falling for Ukraine? Not even close. Always remember (before the invasion) Russia is the second most powerful land Army in the world and is still having trouble taking a small town near its border.
I quote this comment for the day this war ends (maybe) and we get to find out how many actually died on each side and where the heaviest losses occurred. I'd love to discuss at that time the strategies of each side and which one more effectively applied attrition damage to the other side, for each stage of this war, cumulating into whatever the end result may be. Something like a cost benefit analysis. Do you think you'll still be actively posting here then, because I will be. That's because pysops doesn't necessitate my being here, instead im here to read info that others spent the time to filter out as much garbage as possible and then throw in my half cent.

Ukraine held off Russia with NATO weapons,

Well the only NATO weapons Ukraine had on day of invasion was NLAWS, Stingers and Javelins and was able to win Kyiv Oblast battle and North East Ukraine battle.
but Russia was also significantly undermanned and needed partial mobilization.

Ukraine didn't start mobilization until they got invaded.
How Ukraine would fare with the current weapons package against +300K additional Russian troops is unknown.

Actually it is known how Ukraine is faring with current weapons package... pretty much stalemate although they did take back Kherson, Izium and Lyman.
At best, the new weapons package will maintain the stalemate, not make significant breakthroughs.

I don't think so. This new package is meant for major offensive. They are/will be trained in combined arms with this new arms package.

Russia placing Pantsir on top of their Government buildings in Moscow is a precaution but of course it's going to look bad since it implies the NATO in Ukrainian livery will be able to strike deep into Moscow.
However, consider that the West also does the same

Better safe then sorry. If the Russians believe a severe escalation from NATO (or as a precautionary measure) is coming then putting AD systems in place is better than having Ukraine fire long range NATO missiles into Russia in an attempt to assassinate Putin, State Duma, Federal Council, etc.
