The relation between China and the neighboring country

Perhaps he wants to build more links with China by learning Chinese, and so he learnt Cantonese thinking that was the main language of China. You know, you go to Chinatown, hear Cantonese, you think Cantonese is spoken by every Chinese...

Or maybe he wants to spite China, so he's going to very quickly make a speech in New Zealand parliament, in Cantonese of course, about how great Joshua Wong is...

He would have known that is not true by the middle of his courtship.

Hmm where did you find that news though?

Twitter in Gatekeeper's post

The swearing in of Members of Parliament at the Comission Opening occured earlier today. Members have the option of stating their oath in two languages if they wish, and as a nod to the other half of my family I repeated mine in Cantonese. Certainly not my best effort in the langauge but it was fun to give it a whirl!

South Koreans used to admire the U.S. as a model of success and progress. Now, with American Covid-19 deaths spiraling upward and Trump raging against the election result, their respect for American leadership is plummeting.

Wonder if the Japanese still have their heads in the sand. Anyway South Koreans don't need to go to the US. Korean movies and dramas are just as good as Hollywood ones.

Well.. JAXA works a lot with NASA. And the JMSDF works a lot with the USN.

No idea how KARI or the ROKN would share the idea in the article that ROK has roughly reached equally developed with their American counterparts in space and naval activities. The US is still number one and robust in those fields despite the messing domestic politics show. The hype with spiraling virus still has a hard cap on maximum potential damage.. that being the deaths of a relatively small percent of all elderly and other medically vulnerable. Even if that maximum damage is reached, and it being reached certainly is a loss of respect in not preventing it, but even so, the deaths of a small percentage of the elderly won't have the effect of bringing down the whole economy. It'll bumble its way forward regardless.

I am sucker for heart felt family story Here one of them that show though in politic we have differences It does not prevent people to people contact Hope many more young Japanese see this video

Some of them brought their “secret weapon” here; some of them has been writing love letters of food; some of them owns the largest rose garden in Asia; some of them is managing Ito Yokado and making it better. These Japanese have definitely started a wonderful and meaningful life in Chengdu. So, why did they choose to come to Chengdu and settle down? And what keeps them staying here?
