Doesen't really matter? The fact is that this capturing would have been solved with several other ways, in either diplomatic or limited military operations involving special forces. The huge bombings and massive land attacks has nothing to do with hostagereleasing. Also the Israeli rethoric swithed soon as the attacks started form liberating the soldiers to destroying the Hezbollah. So the war was stareted by Israel, they had the change of not doing it but they choosed othervice.
