Pakistan doesn’t have the early warning infrastructure in place.
Pakistan possesses at least 10, and possibly up to 12, operational Erieye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft.

Of these, at least four are the extended-range (ER) variant. This capability enables Pakistan to maintain continuous 360-degree surveillance coverage around the clock.

this is probably inapplicable to ballistic missile defense though which is what he was referring to

Plus even if China were to rush some systems to Pakistan right now, it wouldn't really change much in the short run. These are complicated systems that require a lot of training to employ properly. Unless China has PLA soldiers man those systems (very unlikely) they would be of very limited use to Pakistan for this conflict.

This merely states what has already been said on this thread, basically that 1 Rafale was downed and we have solid evidence for this. I'm asking where is the evidence for the other 2 claimed by PAF because they claim 3 Rafale shot down. Did they misidentify Mirage 2000 as Rafale? Or somehow overcount? Or did IAF manage to prevent evidence of Rafale loss(es) from surfacing yet?
In the middle of the conflict, it is not possible to always have solid evidence for all the shoot downs, especially if they all went down on the side that has the incentive to show less damage. Pakistan could have reported in error. Given that there is incontrovertible evidence for one Rafale being shot down, and very strong incentive for both the Indians and the French to minimize further media damage, it is very easy for the Indian Air Force to say the other 35 Rafales are all accounted for and at their base. This would carry a lot of weight in showing only one Rafale was shot down. There were only 36 of them to begin with and by now, there should be more than sufficient time for the Indian Air Force to count them. The fact that they said nothing is deafening.

No need for them to count. They now exactly how many returned. They stay silent because they know if they acknowledge their losses, their heads will roll. Perhaps even literally.

"If only we had Rafale(...)" is an actual quote by Modi. The highest political office is in danger if they acknowledge Rafale loss. Their opposition is going to have a field day with it, exposing Modi for what he is. An incompetent ruler who can't fix the Indian military bureaucracy.

They fumbled 3 major projects which could've turned the tide for them. Tejas, MMRCA and FGFA. The last two happened under Modi's tenure. He might not recover from this and that's one of the reasons for him to stay silent and to escalate.

Interesting, I have noticed the Pakistan military has always packed a bigger punch than it seems given the country economic size, development and military budget. One the things I have noticed is that the country has an impressive military industrial complex with a strong focus in technology transfer. By co-developing its own weapons with countries like China gives Pakistan an significant operational advantage than countries that merely buy weapons, like most Gulf states do.
