A pilot's interview, which was made public, detailed the events as follows: At an altitude of approximately 2,000 feet (about 600 meters), and an airspeed of around 300 miles per hour (300 knots, equivalent to 555 kilometers per hour), there was a noticeable loss of thrust. This was indicated by the engine instruments, which showed a continuous decrease in all readings, accompanied by the disappearance of information on the screen display. The pilot then declared "MAYDAY" twice before choosing to eject. The pilot, Lin Wei, had a total of 1,184 flight hours, with 183 hours on the Yongying advanced trainer aircraft. Prior to the flight, he passed the aircrew medical examination, aviation physiology, and survival training. The left engine had the serial number 7X0077, with a usage time of 251 hours, while the right engine had the serial number 7X0076, with a usage time of 252 hours. Since the aircraft's and engines' manufacture, there have been no major faults. So far, the left aileron fixed wing, and the left aileron's have been recovered, but the black box has not yet been salvaged. It is inferred that the complete failure of the electrical system may have caused the engine and instrument panel to fail.
