Semi-official ROC Army friend/foe armored vehicle identification chart to help army personnel with their memorization test.
So just like any military out there it is mandatory for ROC Army personnel to be able to identify friendly and enemy armored vehicles. Army personnel are tested with their abilities to do so during routine tests. Such tests are important for volunteer personnel because not only do those tests affect their chance of rising in the ranks, they can affect their vacation time and pay as well.
One thing interesting about the chart is how outdated it is for a chart that only came out in 2013. Although it is in Chinese I think it's still a very interesting read. There are also some PLA vehicles I've never seen before and I wonder whether they've even entered service with the PLA or not (such as the Thunder-1 APC, WZ-507 APC, NVH-1 AFV and the NFV-1 AFV).
