Don't really know what you mean by "nano intelligence" but all "multi-celled" living organism fits this description since all cell acts based on a single set of rules or orders called "DNA" without a hierarchical command structure.
A living intelligent slime. pond scum that thinks.

Interesting how there are lot of independent filmmakers doing great looking sci-fi shorts. Even though most of these guys are actually in the business, they just aren't up there with the big name filmmakers just yet. This just goes to show how things like special effects are less expensive these days. Pretty soon all you need to make a movie will be determination and the creative and organizational skills.

Here's a nice looking short. Can't really tell what the story is about but it looks great.

Here's one that came out recently with Wonder Woman. A lot of people trying to take on Wonder Woman. Studio are antsy about making a movie or even a TV series. I've seen other shorts attempt to get noticed by Hollywood executives with their angle on Wonder Woman. This one is the best so far but the problem I've seen with any incarnation from these shorts or even the attempts for television is Wonder Woman is fighting street criminals all the time.

As a trek fan I am both hopeful and concerned. Hopeful in that they may seek out new original scripts and ideas boldly embrace Roddenberry's ambition and tell true morality tales.
My concerns are that they might fall back on rehashes of where Nomad has gone before...
also on that site I spotted a story about a possible star trek3

Trek can only succeed with competent talent behind it, Bad Robot and company have shown an unwillingness to be that talent.

Let me know when we discover the next Ronald D Moore and i'll consider it.

The reason the studios are antsy about making a Wonder Woman tv series or movie is because with today's society and mind set on seeing a beautiful girl dress in skimpy closes fighting crime on the street seriously by the audience, especially with the success of so many t.v. crime dramas that displayed women in a much more professional manner with beauty as well. People would view it as sexism, just eye candy for the male audience even though Wonder Woman is one of those all time classic comic book character.

The only thing interesting to me would be the "what if" scenarios they can play on since history has already changed. I was watching The Big Bang Theory last night and they had this funny discussion about Raiders of the Lost Ark. The guys look at the movie like it was sacred but the smart woman character saw it for the first time and immediately mentioned that Indiana Jones was a totally pointless character because no matter what the Nazis would still have Ark in the end and be killed by it. Indiana Jones had no effect on the outcome. That's what basically Abrams Star Trek amounts to a TV show set in that universe.

Didn't Indie actually help the bad guys find the thing? They were looking in the wrong place to begin with weren't they?

If so, no, he wasn't useless. If not, then nevermind.

Regarding Star Trek, they tried a what-if with Into Darkness. Look how that was received. I wanted a what-if too, but I'm satisfied with ID. I would prefer they do something new at this point.
