I wouldn't be surprised if you hate the World Cup.
Afterall, the referrals don't even know the rules!

My Germany!!!!! how can they lose like that? by 2 points! how can they not defeat Italy?! it's their home game and they have good skills + teamwork.

now that it's up to france and italy, i hope france win because i do not like italy, period.

I see no one noticed the Chinese girls won the Wimbledon doubles, even though that was an historic event.....

lol, after Italy won, I drove around the town, basically honked at every car with the Italian flag. And then I drove around the ring road of my university and just honked and screamed at everyone I saw, lol. People didn't throw stuff at me though.

That headbutt by Zidane was pretty uncalled for and could have cost the French their game since he's the best penalty kicker they have. I have no idea why Henry was called off. Anyways the French was clearly the better team tonight, but failed to capitalize. The Italians always seem to have luck on their side when it comes to important matches. They won the penalty shootout 5 to 3 despite being dominated most of the match.

Okay, I have a World Cup related story that is both wierd and interesting.

I'm on vacation, going to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. As we were driving across the middle of nowhere, we stopped in Cokesville, Wyoming to watch the Final. At the Flying J Rest Stop. This place was so desolate that they still had tapes, not CDs, and VHS. Cokesville had a population of like 60. However, they did have a TV. And guess who was watching the game, other than a pyschotic-killer looking trucker and an outrageously fat dude. Like 40 French people. Yep, I came across a bunch of French people in the Cokesville, Wyoming Flying J. It made my World Cup experience way better. Just a very random little incident.

PS-A few hours later, we were driving back in that direction and we passed the French people in their CruiseAmerica vans. I could totally tell it was them. I'm certain we'll see them again.
