It makes no difference where I go, I will always be a Houston sports fan.

That's right.. I live in no where's ville Iowa..but I spent most of my adult life in San Diego CA. I'm a Chargers fan as long as they remain in SD. Period.

And quit fretting about the Texans. They have an excellent young team and they will be back next year.

Indeed! I stopped watching in the third quarter... However, just like Equation said, I will always be a Texans fan and wishing them all the best. In fact, sticking with my teams even through the bad times will make the good times that much sweeter. No matter where I go, the sports teams in Texas will always be my teams. My college team is the Aggies because I spent my teenage/high school years in College Station and my NFL team is the Texans and my NBA team is always the Rockets. So all in all, my teams aren't doing too bad, especially with Johnny Football winning the Heisman and the Aggies winning the Cotton Bowl.

Would'nt the team that came closest to representing your home town/area you were born/ grew up in trump that?

Well, like I said, the Patriots were expected to win...and they did. The Texans had their chances though, several opportunities to actually turn it around...but they were just not there. Interception, mis-cues on offense and defense...and the Patriots were hitting pretty much on all eight cylinders.

I hoped the Texans could pull off the upset, but it was just not to be. The Pats were too good.

Now, I also picked Seattle and I thought they had it in the bag. But you have to give that Atlanta quarterback and the entire team credit for the comeback. It was awesome.

I still expect San Fran to beat them...but if Atlanta can play like they did in that 4th Quarter against the Seahawks when they go up gaainst the 49ers, I do not think anyone can stop them. The key question is, "Can they do that?"

And the Patriots against Denver. That should be a really good game. I want to pick Denver, but it is just too hard to pick against Brady and the Pats, especially when they are hot, so I am going with the Pats there.

Pats and 49ers in the Superbpowl.

You could be right Jeff...49ers vs. Patriots superbowl.

As for the Texans, anybody know a good witch doctor that I can contact with...you know...to reverse this Houston NO Superbowl appearance ever curse?:p:eek:

You just gotta give it time.

sort of like me and my Texas Rangers. The came to Arlington in 1971 when I was a teenager living on our ranch about 60 miles out of town.

They did not make it to the World Series until 2010, after 39 years...and then only won one game against the Giants. They repeated in 2011 and won three games, but still lostin seven to the Cardinals that year.

So...getting there is the first step...but then you gotta win. Like the poor Buffalo Bills and the Superbowl. They went four straight times...the only team to ever do that. The only problem is they lost them all.

At least my Dallas Coboys have been to the Superbowl eight times (tied for the record), and won five of them. But they are in a real dry spell now, since the last super bowl win was in 1995.

My pro teams are the Dallas Cowboys (Super Bowl: 8 appearances, 5 wins), the Texas Rangers (World Series: 2 appearances, 0 wins), the Dallas Mavericks (NBA Championship: 2 appearances, 1 win), and the Dallas Stars (Stanley Cup: 1 appearance, 1 win).
