Why are these prototypes not painted in yellow or green like J-20 or F-35 at the assembly line?

Jeez...
Current batch also lack sawtooth treatment on skin/panels. A spherical IRST is also used.
It's really difficult to quantify what is really enough for 5th gen and what isn't.
For simplicity's sake, just the bay is probably it.

I would say the bay an integrated defensive suite and targeting system. No pods all organic to the fighter.
Sad stuff and they had ejection seats. Probably a hard hit and not just a glancing blow. Maybe they where low ??
