Philipines is in the mist of moving some of her navy and airforce to subic port (or Port of Subic) in response to China in the contested water in South China Sea (or West Philipines sea as was known by the Filipino government).

The Philippines is buying up a french surplus ship at 6 million Euro... Philipines is also interested in buying four new ships from French too.

Recent aggressive buying of ships from France and Japan really rise my eyebrows.

This is old news... not sure if it was posted before or not. But here goes. Singapore had created a new type of rifle... frankly speaking, I like that look more than the m16S1 and SAR21 that we are already using.

Philippines bought 8 sokol helicopters from Poland. Recent aggressive modernization of her aging military had been pretty significant. I am wondering if Philippines might finally get out of having one of the weakest militaries in the region?

Now... if Saab was to set up a school in Thailand and the deal actually falls through. Would Thailand also in future buy Gripens as their next fighters?
