Now the Myanmar officials seems apologetic and making accusation.

A Myanmar official quoted by Reuters denied bombing China and said rebels may have caused the explosion.

"It's possible that those fighting with us purposely created these attacks with the intent of causing misunderstanding between China and us," the official said.

Nice, and how do they explain the crashed plane in Chinese territory some days before? Also piloted and deliberately crashed by the rebels?

90% of world's major cities are 100 km from the border or from international airspace.

I don't think NORAD would take take too kindly to Russia Bears or MiGs flying 100 km into us airspace over NYC or Washington, D.C.
If a foreign military aircraft goes that deep into Chinese territory and freking drop bombs on their land I would severely question the effectiveness of Chinese air defence radar and intercept capabilities.

But there is no major cities any where close to that area. It is mainly mountains and forests that are not even excessable by human. I don't think that is a major area of concern by China before this.

It would be a completely different story if someone tried to get close to the east coast of China. The EP-3 incident on the Hainan island would be a good example of that.

I am afraid she is just like another leaders, so vocal and so good and promising before elected into power then quiet and do nothing and corrupt (not saying she is corrupt)

+1, China simply doesn't have the resources to survey and patrol the airspace around all its borders the same way it does to particular important regions like SCS, ECS and yellow sea, or the border facing india, for example.
If anything this incident should serve as a good example of why continued full modernization of the PLA is needed.

I am very surprised and angered by the reaction of the Burmese govn't. That is simply insulting to the Chinese govn't. It was clearly a bomb dropped by a plane. How can they make excuses like this. Plus, the tone of the Burmese official sounds a lot like he's talking about something else that is completely none of his business, simply discussing a matter with "mild interest". That is insulting, to say the least.

I think the PLAAF should do something, just show them some consequences. I understand how China wants the world to see them as peaceful. I am all for that. However, when someone attacks you and then lie about it in your face, that becomes something else. Let alone this "someone" is a little weasel of Burma. What kind of image would it convey then? Even a dirty poor small Burma can enter China's territory and kill chinese citizens at will? Will China get any respect after this?
