Wow this is surprising. I guess China couldn't hold out against that much international pressure on her own. I believe that Russian support of the sanction also had something to do with this.

Nothing has happened as yet! They only agreed to talk about it, and before this, they are talking to the Iranians. If Hillary is so sure, it may be because they have finally settled to go for another 'toothless' round of sanctions which China can support.
Meanwhile, the US seems to have put Israel on the defensive, and if nothing else, this can have the effect of allowing such harmless sanctions to be passed without an uproar from that quarter.

Sanctions are a waste of time. IRAN IS A THREAT> IMO Give one last chance for Iran to refrain from her nuclear bomb aspirations, or we in the West shall bomb the said facilities.
If Iran was to strike back against Israel or cause other mischief through her proxies in the middle east, then we will start to take out her oil producing capacity, as well as other industrial and civilian infrastructure.

All that I can see being accomplished by that is the opening of a very nasty can of worms, of which the US and NATO wouldn't fully appreciate until after the fact unfortunately.

the american strategy is to maintain a balance of power. that's y bush sr didnt bring down saddam in 91. (his son is of course, not as smart) iran acquiring nukes would for sure destroy that balance of power, no one wants to see that. but that vastly different from the kind of threat bladerunner is talkin about there. i can pretty much guarantee that if iran is to acquire nukes, they'll use it with as much caution as did any other countries have. i mean look at Mao, he was all like "yeah we can afford to lose 400million people in a nuke war so lets go all out", yet he was very cautious and clever with his nuclear policy. and then there is india-pakistan rivalry, we have two nuclear capable enemies-to-the-death and they have been we restrained in their nuclear policy. so experience tells me that if khomenei gets nuke he is not gonna throw it all over the place. of course that doesnt mean i support a nuclear iran cuz of course the balance of power stuff.
