To me, it looks like th is is the original (dont know how much edited) and the initial image was a photo of the camera display screen. (initial photo had these weird looking almost colored moire effect artefacts)

Another thing also doesn't make sense, j-36 has 2 HUDS for the two pilots. Surely, J-36 is higher end than J-50 and should have higher end helmet?

The J-36 is meant to operate beyond visual range at distances up to the second island chain. Having a head tracking helmet for close quarters combat is probably seen as less necessary than having low helmet weight for crew comfort in long endurance missions at long ranges.

The J-50 is meant to be able to be a close quarters knife fighter. So it needs the helmet head tracking.

Sorry, they're too slow. We can't protect the plane from unwarranted pictures starting at the maiden flight Christmas 2024 all the way to 2028! LOL And that's if they manage to stay on schedule.

they should make something like area 51 near gobi desert and develop the airplane there
