Look at that golden beastView attachment 142599

It can be said with full certainty, at this point, that this airframe is not the same one that was photographed earlier and released in conjunction with the J-36 photos.
The white/gray airframe, which is pretty evident by now, is the biggest indicator of this, as is the presence of a pitot tube. Unlike some observations made earlier, there does not seem to be a tailsting between the engine nozzles, a further indication that this is a separate airframe.

The most likely explanation that this is an earlier tech demonstrator or prototype that was photographed way before and released just now. Of course, it is also possible that the tech demonstrator might still be conducting flight tests in conjunction with the "full prototype" that was unveiled first.

Can we confirm that it lost all-moving tailfin?
I really like the idea of having a mordern day F-14.:(

Even if these are two different aircraft, I don't see significant differences apart from the pitot tube, nor is there any reason to believe there would be a major change such as the addition of an all-moving tailfin.(hopefully i`m wrong)

Are IWB on the side?
I think it’s separated and placed at the bottom, since landing gears are on the side.
SAC has two models one is manned and the other is UAV. This was stated by many Chinese military bloggers on social media like Weibo.
Actually I only saw 草根 claimed that. Almost all other bloggers I know believed it’s manned.
草根 still retain such statement despite others’ disagreement.
I think it‘s too early to decide.

When did he say that? And when did he double down on that?
