To make sure it doesn't go on an adventure like in February 2019 and because of that so-called "accidental" launch of a Brahmos.
But India could also buy stealth aircraft and Pakistan would end up right where they started ultimately there will be no change in power balance not to mention almost a billion dollars that the country could have spend on infrastructure or debt repayment

In a few year's time, India will realise the number of Chinese stealth fighters is greater than the entire Indian Air Force.

Then the Indians will panic and want stealth fighters yesterday.

At that point, Pakistan could buy stealth fighters to offset the Indian acquisition

Not to mention, this purchase of J-31 might really only happen around the 2030s.

Which might be around when China has like 800+ J20s.

J10Cs were acquired as a response to Rafales there was no other choice while FC31s seems escalatory since India doesn't have an equivalent, I just can't seem to find a logical reason for this decision

Alright, but that doesn't really make sense for your post below, does it?

Can Pakistan afford FC31s? even one unit would cost almost 70Million and you would need two dozen to make it worthwhile not to mention upkeep cost

Applying this reasoning, PAF ought not to be introducing J10Cs.

Brilliant plan. Sell FC31 to Pakistan. India panic buy F-35. India crash F-35 in Pakistan. China buy the wreck and study it.

Jk, the purchase will likely be many years later.

Good Idea.... ;)

On the other hand, this agreement will allow other interested parties, such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others who bared from F35s, to enter the market. For example, PAF J10Cs engage in various exercises with these nations, providing them with first-hand knowledge of Chinese technology.

A persuasive marketing....

It is highly unlikely the US would export it to India at this point. What India could do would be buying the Su-57 or Su-75.
US always change. You cant predict the policy 4 years later.
  1. Lets say Ukraine thing is over, Indian ties to Russia is less problematic.
  2. If Pakistan acquire FC-31, India might make more concessions to US for F-35 go to through.
I think this is a very relevent topic. FC-31 might be the only non-F35 5th gen plane for export besides the anemic SU-57 production. Whereever FC-31 go it could stimulate F-35 export too, and vice versa.
