Indeed I was wrong at first sight - I focused too much on the missing radome - but the bump behind the spine is not like the J-35 one‘s.
So the export version model will be FC-31 with the old fuselage? It doesn't make sense.
Unless there is a dedicated PLAAF land base version like that too.
So I guess they either got lazy using the same old model from 10 years ago or don't want to give out too much detail on J35.

No offense intended, but you are making some very strange posts.
The picture in question clearly says it is FC-31, nothing about J35, not saying it is meant for export. What kind of sense do you want to make out of it? What is confusing you?
Other examples are that there is a Y-20 model at the top and Z-20 on the left side, are you going to ask similar question like "are export versions of Y-20 and Z-20 being the same fuselages as PLAAF?"
I think you over think too much, confuse yourself of a phantom.
The reality is that CATIC is presenting everything they have for potential interested customers, but not everything on display is an actual final product. J-10CE model is supposed to be accurate model because it is an actual product. FC-31 and any of its derivative is not a product with a customer yet, so any model there is just a placeholder, there is nothing for it to be accurately resemble to.

And to be honest, it is IMO some sort of overkill for the PAF ... and if they are even able to found and anyway purchase it is a totally different story.
Let's be serious, the J-35/-31 is the most realistic option.
