They also claim that there was a large break-through and the main designer has said that there will be good news soon. It is, of course, superior in every performance parameter to the 2 prototypes that preceded it, which should be a given.
My only concern with this video is that it's not outstandingly professional as it seems to be narrated by a reporter rather than someone in military uniform with military links. And also, she keeps saying that the models at the Paris airshow were 3.0, which, from what I remember, we decided were actually 2.0 and sloppy 1.0, correct me if I'm wrong of course. Ignorant reporter mis-translations can potentially cause quite large gaps to develop from what was told to them and what they tell the audience...
I believe it was SAC or AVIC that mentioned there would be good news soon a while back.
However this video doesn't introduce anything new or credible to our present understanding and frankly it is below the standards of which we expect for this forum for us to take it seriously.
Not everyone who can edit together and narrate a video is worthy of having their opinion noticed. PLA watching relies on rumour sources with established credentials or established track records for a reason.
I.e.: we are discriminating to an extent WRT the places we consider credible, and this video doesn't meet that standard. Frankly I don't know why davidau posted it here in the first place.
